Games still do look like games. The newer graphics capabilities can support any style, even those NES graphics from the 80's that don't look 'real'.

I forgot my like... Like = all the great launch games! especially Skylanders Giants! but if we are talking specifically about the Wii U then I'd say that hard drive support is the best thing.

Games would get boring really quick if they all looked the same and had the same graphics style. I like a nice variety. Some games look realistic, some look cartoonish, etc. etc.

HD doesn't make games look more "real". Realism is just an art-style people like to use cause it's easy to relate to.

Well... what can I say? look at Super Mario Bros. for NES? it is fun? yep, are the graphics great? nope.... now tell me which is more important...
Gameplay is timeless, graphics will always get better and better and the people living on the cutting edge of technology will never be satisfied with what they have for very long. Once something better comes out, the previous tech sucks... makes no sense to me and those people don't know what gaming is really about.
And I have given the competition a chance and am also a huge PC gamer but guess what? Nintendo consoles have the best games hands down... why? because they have games made by Nintendo.

The style of Mario is fine, I meant that it is low resolution. Something that 360 and PS3 fans have always put down the Wii for being lower resolution. Graphics can help the overall experience of a game but it is not as important as gameplay. If graphics are so important to you then why are you saying that a low resolution 8 bit game looks very good?
Lets not forget that all graphics become outdated over time. When we look back at classic games we think of how fun they were, not how pretty... I don't hear anyone saying "I want to buy a NES and Super Mario Bros because the graphics are amazing".

...You're 12. You don't even make sense, wth does "one type of graphics" even mean? All HD does is make the picture clearer and more detailed. Just because Nintendo is now HD doesn't mean all they're gonna make now is gritty realistic FPS's, quite the opposite actually. For example, Nintendo Land has an amazing colorful color palette and amazing HD graphics at the same time. Honestly I think you're just a Ninty hater.
My favorite thing about the Wii U is the gamepad. The second screen is real good for touch-screen interactivity and video-watching, and especially multiplayer. I got nothing to hate. The Wii U is absolutely nothing to complain about.

I really don't agree with you but I won't not complain at all if the next Nintendo console was the SNES 2 with all 2D games, that would be great!

Gamers need to stop caring about the brushes used to make the painting and start looking at the painting itself.
