I am hoping to see one or more of these in the direct, and also Miiverse for 3DS and the Wii U system update. Also I would like to get a look at some more gameplay of Smash Bros, maybe I am being a bit too greedy but these directs seem to always have something good in them.

Why?

It was about 30 min long, how can that be a mini? the one in may should be called mini IMO, and it didn't so why should this be called a mini?

Well they did say it would be about already announced titles and content for 2013. Would have been nice if there was more about MiiVerse on the 3DS but... what did people really expect?

-Updates on all of the games coming this year for one.
-A few surprise eshop titles for Wii U
-A bigger focus on trying to rengrize people about the Wii U.
-Not saying its abut 2013 and than showing off two games for next year.
-Not announcing something that while cool, could be easily alleviated 3DS miiverse.

Butt-hurt much?

Why would I be but-hurt for. Its 2013 and I kind of expect that if a company is planning to do some sort of Social networking services that this type pf communication should be on available as many places as the company can put it right. I can use Twitter or Tumblr on every device I own so at the very least I expect Miiverse to be on the 3DS. That's says alot about how Nintendo developed their consoles before the merger earlier this year.

I mean Sony has shown that the social networking style feature for the PS4 will be ported to the Vita but will also be available on ios and Android. Microsoft has done the same showing off an Xbox Live application for nearly every platform under the sun. If these two can grasp simple software design than Nintendo really shouldn't have an excuse as to why their two platforms weren't developed closely together.

Nintendo's current set up is like Google+ only being available on the web and not Google's other and more popular platform android.

1.Yeah over expectations on my part when were going to get at least 4-5 more directs this year.
2.Was mostly talking first party and that reel wasn't in the NOA stream (NOE is so much better)
3.Yeah I mean this holiday season is going to be make or break for the Wii U, if it fails this season than im guessing Gcube redux
4.In a way yes. The priority should be getting the Wii U back on track. Not bad announcements but the 3DS is doing good.
5. Yeah I was hoping the animal crossing would have been DLC for the plaza. for $0.99 you can buy skins for your plaza like back grounds for 360/PS3.

Maybe your #5 isn't that far away. Where did I read that Nintendo made something like $4 million off those downloadable streetpass games on the 3DS in like one month or something? That's crazy. I bet this Animal Crossing app will expand over the next short while.

Hoping too much can simply lead to disappointment, give up hope and be hopeless you wont be disappointed... err in a manner of speaking.

This direct wasn't as bad as the E3 one but it did have some lag. I must ask why are we getting ustreams of pre-recorded video. Just throw it on youtube or your website.

I watched both the US and UK after the fact. I was unimpressed to the point where I can't find a real reason why they even bothered. There wasn't any mention of SM3DW, DK:TF, Wii Fit U, or Wii Party U. and W101 got a slide at the end to tune in Friday. No mention of this summers update that's been delayed until the fall. Rayman and Sonic are both games I'm looking forward too but I didn't need this ND for any of that info. I guess in my mind they shouldn't even bother unless they have something new and important to say, then can just put this stuff out on Youtube like every other company making games does. Nintendo thinks they're special b/c they do "Nintendo Directs" and Iwata says "direct to you". Big deal.

Meh. Luigi was announced for Smash Brothers, Animal Crossing got a Wii U thing, Pokémon Rumble only worked on portables waah, Art Academy happened and the rest is a blur. It's a shame they didn't show anything for 3D World.

Again, it was one Direct. If you want every Direct to be some amazing, home-run expose of every Nintendo game coming up in the next year, you're in the wrong place and you're dealing with the wrong company. The idea behind the Directs is to have them fairly often (sometimes one a month) to supply little bits of information - NOT to release large-scale, "epic" E3-esque productions. Sure. it would be nice to hear about every game ever announced until this time next year, but that just isn't going to happen. Again, know your surroundings, tailor your expectations accordingly, and stop giving the gaming community its stereotypical negative image.

It's probably so people can't fast forward to the good parts, so people will get hyped when the best parts are shown (if there are any...).
