Topic: What Do You Guys Think About the New PlatinumGames' Announcement?

I have to admit: I'll be super disappointed if it is anything related to Vanquish. Let's hope it's something new.

If anything, I'm surprised YOUTUBE decided that the biggest game announcement would be by Platinum. It's Youtube, I would think they could get Zelda U, Last Guardian, and Halo 5 at the exact same time if they wanted to. Because it's Youtube.

So, multiplat Transformers with no Wii U version...

But yet, Activision releases their other crap Transformers games on the Wii U. Great.

I hope it is gonna be a new Metroid.

The game looks gorgeous, but after Korra I'm kind of hesitant about them doing another licensed game.

What a waste of Platinum Games talent.

It's a waste of Platinum Games skill. A Transformers game? Like, really?

Why are people mad about Platinum making a Transformers game? That type of non stop action is right up their alley!

Vanquish, Metal Gear Rising, a new IP, etc just anything is better than some Transformers game!

It's not that I don't think this could be a great idea, but I don't trust Activision to give them the time to make a great game. I mean, that Korra game came out last year so if this game has a release date of this year...lower your expectations, and wait for Scalebound or something else.

I'm more annoyed that Platinum isn't doing Kill la Kill. There's an IP that was MADE for Platinum.

Platinum Games doing Kill LA Kill would be epic but Bayonetta would still be better. Kill la Kill still has high school girls fanservice and while I LOVE the anime... I just can't stand anime that does fanservice with underage 18 years old girls. It's goofy and silly in Kill la Kill which softens the blow.

Oh, don't worry; if it's another licensed game for Activision there won't be any talent put into it. The Legend of Korra game was quite disappointing.

Sad but true. Isn't this game coming out in a few months? And wasn't Korra a few months ago? So this game is rushed, right?

Korra was November.

The look of that Transformer game is nice, but it's not impressive. Very generic, static-looking surroundings. I hope that's just due to it being early footage.

Activision has released some decent to good Transformers games (the High Moon Studios ones), so with a good developer and not tied-in with a movie it can turn out well.

Even developers like Platinum need to do stuff like this to pay the bills from time to time. Maybe they were on sales-related bonuses from W101 and Bayonetta 2, and are finding the financial side of things a little tough right now.

They still have a part in the Nintendo Digital Event. So....
