New consoles, new features, a steady flow of releases or just the kind of treatment we get currently on the 3DS and Wii?

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Probably everything the Wii VC already has plus Gamecube.

ShiftyLook - Bringing back Namco classics, Step 1- Webcomics.
I help keep these threads updated: New 3DS VC games in Japan, Missing 3DS VC and Wii U VC between regions, and Full of list first party Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Gear games missing from the 3DS VC.

GameCube titles, most definitely. We might see ourselves a bit of Dreamcast and Mega Drive on it too if we're lucky, but we'll have to see. Generally, I think Nintendo ought to see themselves stepping up with the Wii U Virtual Console, seeing as it's the console where their online systems are expected to reach their utmost potential. But we'll see.

Let us not judge a man by the colour of his skin, but by the character he chooses to battle with in Brawl.

My pessimistic predictions:

It will start out with just a handful of games, not with anything like all the games currently on Wii VC. Any games you transfer from your Wii will only be playable in Wii mode.

Even if one of your transferred Wii VC games IS available as a Wii U native/optimised version and you want to play that improved version, you will have to buy again.

The Wii U VC will take ages to get up to the current size of the Wii VC.

Oh, and the games will be more expensive than they currently are.

Licensed Games. Specifically Marvel VS Capcom, Castle of Illusion, Ducktales and all those other good Disney games (Back when people cared for licensed games. Well I don't expect all of them, but I do expect Castle of Illusion at the least.

A slow roll out of all of the same games that we have had on the previous VC.

I expect it to be a magical place where I can download Wind Waker.

I'd like to see Gamecube games there.

Make it so and I may be driven to procreate with my Wii U.

I so totally hope they put Gamecube titles in the eshop, so I don't have to feel depressed that the gamecube games are lost until Nintendo's next console (after Wii U) comes. Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 has to be in there!

I would like that too. I never beat prime 2, I think I was on some worm boss.

GBA link cable games with online multiplayer would be great. Ceystal Chronicles and Pac-Man Vs. for example. Then with single player games like Wind Waker and SA2B. And Mario Kart DD's LAN multiplayer capabilities too. Finally, Phantasy Star Online could be rereleased too. It'd be awesome if at least one of these ideas happened.

Impossible. The entire Wii VC library is still accessible from the Wii U, as is WiiWare and everything else existing on the predecessor.

<shrug> In a crippled sense from the sounds of it. I may be in the minority here, but I was stoked about being able to play my Wii VC backlog on the gamepad while others were watching TV in the same room. I fear that antonvaltaz predictions will be right on the mark. If I have to pony up cash to buy the same title again in its repackaged form, I doubt that I will. As I said in the VC forum, this is not a deal breaker for me, but it has greatly reduced my enthusiasm for the new console.
