That's it, we saw all Nintendo has left before they pull the plug on the Wii U. Stay tuned for March's direct to see another trailer of X and Bayonetta 2!
you think they won't release a zelda game on wii u? (a new one I mean)
Seems like a waste at this point. They might as well take their ideas for Zelda U and make another 3DS game. That is where the money is.
Probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard. They have at least three years of Development in that game, it'd be a huge waste of time and money. Besides, Legend of Zelda is a system seller, not by itself but with Smash, Mario Kart, and other titles. Patience is a virtue my friend.
Sorry man, you have been trolled. I love my Wii U and have 4 Zelda games (3 VC and WWHD) and am I looking forward to Zelda U. Just a little bummed I didn't see anything new for the Wii U that's all (I don't count NES Remix 2 as "new" and something of interest).
To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
What Would Duane Do? Rynoggery
With the lack of major 3rd party (which means not including indies), this just looks sad. The Wii U's fate, at least in terms of getting sales in any number, is hinging entirely on MK8 now, and that doesn't come out till the end of May.
Things are looking pretty dire here guys...

Of course you're going to be disappointed if you expected 50 new games to be announced when Nintendo already said they'd talk about the few games we already knew about with some surprises.
I was satisfied with the Direct.
To everyone saying they're going to sell their Wii Us for PS4s or Ones, why did you buy one in the first place?
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
....So at this point I'm guessing Nintendo lied about releasing 1st party games each month starting with Tropical Freeze...unless they mean games in general...then, ugh.
They didn't lie if you have a 3DS with your WiiU.
yeah it's bad.

Assuming it comes out in time. Idk, my emotions are flying all over the place right now. Can't even think straight...

the irony of people complaining is that I'll probably be buying way more games than I ever have for the console in the next couple of months. There's not a lot but all of them look like games I really want to buy. Not even just "oh that might be kinda cool" like must-own, fantastic software, which is really the saving grace of this.
To each their own for sure, but for a lot of people, they don't buy consoles so they can play Shovel Knight or other indie titles, the Wii U has a pretty weak lineup at the moment in some peoples eyes.

Because we thought we'd have more games by now.
Because we thought, based off of Nintendo's track record with past machines, that they would have wowed us by now with their creativity.
Because we thought that the dismal lack of games last year would have indicated more games coming out this year.
Because we thought it'd get some semblance of 3rd party support (which is looking like it's not happening outside of downloadable stuff).
I don't necessarily feel all of these, but I can see where people are coming from.
Also, if Nintendo is going to focus on spring releases, and then mostly just show us Wii U games that aren't coming out in spring, you'd think they'd at least throw us a bone and show us other things not coming out in Spring.
Best thread ever

Seeing how they STILL haven't given us a release date, chances are we won't be getting it anytime soon. >.>

what major studio do you know of that puts all their cards on the table for a whole year at its begining and before e3?

Nobody asked for 50 games, but maybe at least a couple new Wii-U games? This one was basically all new trailers for games we knew about back in 2012 ans 2013, along with some drips and drabs of new info.
I wasn't disappointed. It's my honest opinion that Nintendo's exclusive games "kill" anything Sony and Microsoft have planned. All they need is the upcoming 3rd party games, and Nintendo has struck gold.
It would be crazy if MK8 got 3 million consoles sold in June.
