~ Game Boy Advance games coming in April
~ NES Remix 2 looks positive, a growing franchise...
~ All the trailers and footage looked good (X, DKC:TF, MK8) the SEGA logo during the Bayonetta 2 trailer makes me hold onto the wish that the original will still be released for the Wii U.
The bad
~ So yeah, about that gap between now and May 30th? (err, Child of Light? I guess)
~ No new Wii U games introduced
~ How about some N64 or Gamecube titles on the VC to help fill the third-party void?

They didn't show anything new and it looks like their still going at The Year of Luigi shin dig judging by NES Remix 2.
We all knew about X, DKC, MK8, and Smash as well as Bayonetta, but all we're getting is "later in 2014".
We got DKC and MK8 to look forward to, but they're 2 months apart. Bayonetta and Smash are most likely Holiday Releases.
All Nintendo showed on this direct was they have nothing for WiiU. BUT LOOK AT ALL OF THE 3DS GAMES!
It was good. All they said was there was going to be talk of spring/early summer releases. Of course everyone is acting like a bunch of babies because they didn't get a new game reveal. The 3DS love is because there are almost no titles coming in the latter half of 2014. It's all Wii U baby. Be patient and quit whining.

Haha, I agree, although the ND was ok, I kinda got the itch to sell my Wii U and pick up a 3DS XL (I've only played my friends quite a bit) .

The majority of those 3DS indie games were for the Wii U also. So if you're into those, it's not all that bad.

How do we know we won't see more Q3/Q4 games for the 3DS, it's February!!
1) Smash Bros. is ALWAYS AWESOME! Little Mac seems cool (i guess?!), but reveal Captain Falcon, Yoshi, Mewtwo (+ Mew ), Ganon, Shiek, Diddy Kong, Wario, Palutena etc. already... or i'll get worried
2) MK 8 Trailer looked great.. and i was really excited when they said "new characters", but... all of them were kooplings.. you can't be serious, sigh..
3) X gameplay yay
4) Bayonetta 2 gameplay yay (release Bayonetta 1 on Wii U, please.... else this makes no sense)
5) DKC: TF looked great (as usual), but i've known that since the first announcement... nothing new, i only spoiled myself by watching that trailer, but it'll still be absolutely amazing.. pre ordered obviously
6) Gameboy Advance for Wii U VC - cool, but my stream lagged.. and afterwards i've only read GBA and NA, nothing was said about EU or did i simply miss that?
so... no new game announcements.. we've known about all these games already. i'm really looking forward to all of these games, but still.... no metroid, no star fox, no f-zero AGAIN.... ALSO: no new information on FAST Racing NEO and no release date for Shantae: The Pirate's Curse (i know.. 3DS)
I think we have a good chance of seeing a 2D Metroid or a The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask remake for the 3DS come circa E3, (given the Reggie pin and rumors, as well all of the Majora teasing, Zelda U will be shown for the Wii U), and maybe one or two new AAA titles.
The 3DS has a strong 2014 lineup for sure, it's looks like last year all over again.
That's it, we saw all Nintendo has left before they pull the plug on the Wii U. Stay tuned for March's direct to see another trailer of X and Bayonetta 2!
