1. Splatoon(It's looks fresh and it's coming soon!)
2. Zelda U(amazing art style, big seamless world. It's a dream Zelda game!)
3. Devil's Third(Looks to be a full packaged online game. With chickens!)

Xenoblade, Zelda, Splatoon

Which is kinda cool, as barring Mario Maker (which is probably number 4 on this list), they are easily the most important Wii U games. Hype might actually win out for once (last time that legit happened was probably 2010, when Red Dead, Mass Effect 2, Galaxy 2 and DKCR were all huge releases)

Well over half the respondents to this poll are posting a combination of Zelda, Splatoon or Xenoblade.

As someone who frequents another forum for general gaming, this is exactly what a PS4 owner would and do say:

Bloodborne
Metal Gear Solid V
Uncharted 4

Some might throw Final Fantasy XV, Arkham Knight, and/or Persona 5 in there instead. For XBO owners, swap out Bloodborne and Uncharted for Halo and... Tomb Raider, I guess? Either way, you have about 3-5 hugely anticipated games coming out this year for all three consoles.

And hopefully Nintendo isn't the only one with a console with finished, working games this time.

Splatoon, Devils Third and Xenoblade X...

But I'm not buying a Wii U for any of them.

A list of the top 3 most wanted games where the majority of users are picking from the same pool of 5-6 games. Pretty sad.

For me it's Devils Third, Zelda and that's about it. If Splatoon online is great I will check it out too.

How is having 5 or 6 relatively big games sad? Maybe I'm just being ignorant but that is just as good if not better than what the twins are offering.

Of course the other systems have way more games coming. More games like AC Unity, and Driveclub, and LBP3, and The Order... you get the point. It's alot in quantity only. But when you get down to the games that are actually worth their salt, there's really no more on PS4/X1 than Wii U, maybe even less. My entire 2015 PS4 lineup will consist of The Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight, Final Fantasy Type 0 and Resident Evil Revelations 2, because I know how to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Not to say the other systems aren't good. I own them all and am glad of it. But.... So ok. The other day I got a few games in the mail. The Order 1886, Kirby Rainbow Curse and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Popped in The Order, got bored in less than an hour. Popped in Kirby, and I've been grinning from ear to ear ever since. That's how it typically goes. Get one AAA, two AAA, three AAA games, still not impressed. Finally get one little $40 Nintendo game and it brings more excitement and enjoyment than the last $200 I spent on PS4 games. And that's not even getting into the 3DS or Monster Hunter.

So, I say to each their own, if you get way more enjoyment on other consoles, hey, game on friend. But most of us are not ignorant to the other consoles. Most, like myself, own other consoles and are very well aware of what they offer. Yet we choose to spend most of our time on Wii U because, well, thats where the fun is at. Which really speaks volumes for the lack of memorable games on other platforms considering there's only a fraction of the total software on Wii U, and yet we still spend most of our time playing it over everything else. I know I certainly do.

Wii U has about 10 solid games for the 2015 lineup. PS4 might have around 25-30. But of those 30, at least 10 are ports. At least 5 are EA sports garbage, another 5-10 are annualized franchises, and most all of them will follow the "realism with humanoid protagonist and a weapon" blueprint. Over half of them won't work at launch, and roughly 25% of them still won't work months after release. And less than 10% of them will actually be GOOD games.

So are there far more games on other consoles? Sure. Are there far more games worth playing? Eh, wouldn't be too sure about that.

I disagree about Wii U having about 10 solid games for 2015 because Nintendo generally delays their games. This is of course a good thing because it prevents things like Halo Master Chief Collection and AC Unity happening where the game is broken not only at launch but months after too. What's important is that Nintendo needs to keep up the good work with the actual content included in their DLC like with the past 6 months to be able to make game droughts much more bearable. I honestly feel even the free Mercedes DLC added replay value to Mario Kart 8 because it meant things like the weekly GameXplain tournaments were still rather present.

Everyone does. Look at the big PS4 games coming or just came out.

Driveclub was delayed a year, the promised PS+ version is still unavailable.
The Order was supposed to be a launch game, pushed back 16 months.
Metal Gear Solid V was supposed to be out God knows how long ago.
Final Fantasy XV was announced like 10 damn years ago and probably not out until next year.
Uncharted 4 was delayed a year.
Persona 5 skipped an entire generation, it's been so long. Persona 4 was a PS2 game.
The Witcher 3, delayed multiple times.
Bloodborne seems to be on schedule, which is cool, From Software has a good track record lately.

What?

Got mixed up on Uncharted. Pretty sure MGSV was supposed to be a 2014 game though? I dunno, the marketing style of releasing trailers over 2 years before the game even has a release date always throws me off.

Exactly, I'll literally only be getting Borderlands Collection in March, Metal Gear Solid 5 whenever it decides to come out, and then Uncharted 4 in the fall. Then that's it for me, those are all the PS4 games I want this year. But my Wii U lineup is Splatoon, Yoshi, Devil's Third, Xenoblade X, Star Fox, Zelda, Rhodea the Sky Soldier, and Mario Maker. Oh, and if they make an Uncharted or Mass Effect trilogy collection for PS4, I'd be all over that as well.

I'll go further and list the top four games I'm interested in from any platform......

  • Zelda U
  • Splatoon
  • Star Fox
  • Xenoblade X

Some playlists: Top All Time Songs, Top Last Year

Personally, I'm usually more hyped for the games I'll be able to play soon. So a top three would be something like:

  • Mario Party 10
  • Affordable Space Adventures
  • Yoshi's Woolly World or Splatoon, whatever arrives first

sigh I suddenly just got a craving to play Pokémon again, after I just sold my Alpha Sapphire to get Smash Bros.... I was kind of bored with it, but now I want to buy it again... dang it. Now I have to add Pokémon to my budget list.

Pretty tough to make a top 3. There are loads of stuff I'm looking forward to, which is surprising given how the console's first few months were (and given the persisting lack of third parties). Anyway:

1) Xenoblade X - Is there even a huge open-world RPG on Wii U right now? I don't think so. As a fan of the genre, I can't wait for this.

2) Zelda U - It's one of my favorite franchises of all time, and I was extremely impressed by the visual style they went for.

3) Mario Maker - I can already see myself spending hours and hours perfecting my custom levels on this one. I just hope there's a music editor.

Mario Maker

As for Xbox One and PS4, I want none of those games this year!
