Topic: Ways to improve miiverse

well, i'm sure any active NLife user knows about the future updates coming to WiiU, also updating miiverse, but there are some things i would love to be fixed that just aren't being touched, mainly the character restriction when making comments. but what are some of your problems with miiverse, whether they're being updated, or whether they're sticking around? lemme know!

Achievements. NSMBU almost has something like this, letting you comment on completion of various "achievements" (clearing a level in under 100 seconds, clearing a level without getting hit, etc), but a standardized system would be nice so it's in most (if not all) games. Every time an achievement is earned, the user can post it to Miiverse.

Also, as already mentioned, posting videos would be nice too, though perhaps more complicated to implement.

I want to have the checkbox (that indicates that you own a game) when I'm on another regions Miiverse. It didn't happen yet, but I can see people presuming I'm lying when I talk about a game I don't have a checkbox for, even though I own the game.

I also want to move communities around and sort them like my channels on the main menu.

I also like to know why some games have a community spanned over all regions (Nintendo Land) and others don't.

I want to get rid of everyone on NSMBU who only says "This is HARD!!!!!" on level 4.
Or all levels to be honest.

In fact, they should update it so whenever someone types in "This is too hard" or anything along those lines, the game pops up with a prompt that says "Nobody Cares."

I actually don't like any of these suggestions TBH. Allowing users to post videos will just end in an abuse of the system... at least for a while. It's like how when Facebook introduced polls and for about a week every single post seemed to involve a poll. The novelty wears off quick and soon nobody really cares about the feature anymore. I quite like the way that the most creative option people have (drawing) is the one that attracts the most attention and I'd like it to stay that way personally.

As for achievements.... I'm not sure I liked the New SMB U method of pushing MiiVerse posting after every minor achievement or failure. It's nice to see those posts when you're playing but it's a bit annoying to be asked for the 100th time whether you want to post about getting three coins, not taking damage or dying repeatedly at a particular point. They need to find a balance and I think New SMB U pushed it a little bit too far. I don't want to see that as a standard feature across all games.

As for what I'd like to see...... better performance... and a better way of highlighting communities I might be interested in because the newest releases aren't necessarily the communities I want to look at. Creating favourites isn't the solution to this problem. They need to order the communities by popularity rather than newness.

I never said I want the achievements to be as ridiculous as NSMBU makes it, any real achievement system doesn't reward you every 5 minutes. I'm just saying that, like NSMBU, I want achievements that can be posted on Miiverse, but I want them to be worthwhile achievements.

As for drawing being the most creative feature... Well, I love some people's drawings but I can't draw. Period. I'd love a few more ways to share content.

I just wanna be able to draw stuff in multiple colors, and not in the same sense as SwapNote on 3DS whereas you're only allowed to pick 1 color for your led. Clearly there's a lot of true talent out there, and not enough potential to accommodate it.

Yes I desperately want to draw in color in Miiverse. And maybe make it easier to shade in the style they did for Flipnote Studio. I'd be so happy if they did this!

Wouldn't it be better to just have an app like Colors for 3DS rather than making miiverse more like a paint program?

Nah. sometimes apps like that can be a little confusing to work with. I'd rather just have basic coloring options in MiiVerse, that way I don't have to later figure out how to upload it properly or whatever extra has to be done as opposed to writing/drawing in MiiVerse directly.

A way to filter out the comments made by idio-.... People that don't have a check box and therefore haven't played the game.

I'm sick of them ruining the communities for certain games I happen to enjoy.

Games I own section, because I have to go through the whole list to find a game. I'd say black and white is fine, especially since the app is supposed to be informational and not for drawing anyway. I think an app specifically for drawing will/should be made, and be compatible with Miiverse, then people can just post their pictures there if they want everyone to see them that badly. The drawing app Miiverse section should support color, but none else.

Well if it's not meant for drawing why doa lot of people draw on it anyway? It's kinda like SwapNote in that sense, and nobody ever said it wasn't meant for drawing, either. Nothing wrong with adding some colors to expand expressions. heck, 1 of the very 1st things we saw when they were showing off Wii U for the 1st time was being able to draw and color stuff, yet we're without the functions/option to do so just yet. Other than that I wouldn't necesserily say MiiVerse is meant to be informational; It's more social than anything, really, although yes it can be informational. However people won't always have answers to everything, whether right or wrong 1s and people are free to post/express their opinions so long as it's civil. Again, I dunno why an app for this would be necessary. I really don't like the idea of having to go through addiitonal steps to express something spur of the moment that can be written/drawn right then and there instead.

Actually, with a drawing app, they can post to Miiverse specifically, instead of pressing home and doing it that way. Like COD BO 2, you can save a photo and post it.
I guess color should be added to Miiverse, but a drawing app is bound to happen. I don't hate the drawings people post, but I'd rather see some original drawings instead of something mass media related all the time. Even I can draw alot of the things that pop up from Miiverse, but alot of people draw Nintendo's creations or anime and claim them as their own alot of the time. We get it, you can draw Link, Mario, Samus, anime, etc... People don't even post drawings in the correct location, or choose a community that best suits their drawing of whatever even though it's unrelated. The drawing app will probably be part of the animation app with advanced tools and such. I would pay ALOT of money just to get a VERY good drawing/animation app on Wii U, even full retail.

Be able to post messages over 100 characters, and most importantly, remove the yeah system. It is so annoying that almost everyone on Miiverse is either asking for yeahs, making deals to trade yeahs, and thanking everyone for yeahing them above a specific number.
