You can compare Xbox One to the OG Xbox, but not Xbox 360.
Indeed. You simply cannot compare 2 different machines based on 2 different architectures. For all we know the Atari 2600 may end up being more powerful than the X1, it has a very efficient architecture.
I'm not sure if you're being sarcstic, but the only way to know how an Atari gaming system would stack up to an Xbox One, is if we scale it's resources to an equivalent of what the Xbox One is. I would guess that a hypothetical Atari game system would probably be similar to the PS4, but they never made it here as a business, so it doesn't really matter.
In my mind, a hypothetical Sega system would be a bit more powerful than Wii U, and a hypothetical Atari system would be a bit more powerful than PS4, but that's just based on how they ran business, and if they were still in business.

... where the heck did this thread end up going? Are we seriously still debating the "next gen"ness of the Wii U? Face it, you don't know anything about the actual power of the Wii U compared to other systems, you're just regurgitating what you've heard from various internet sources, which we all know are 100% correct 100% of the time.
Back on topic, having played the game pretty extensively at this point, I think the Wii U version really could offer some cool stuff with gamepad integration. Switching weapons and gadgets on the fly with the Xbox One controller does get cumbersome with the bumpers - I can see some simple taps on the gamepad helping out with that. Hacking with the stylus would also be kind of cool, as well as providing camera views through the gamepad whenever you hack them - that would be awesome and allow you to keep an eye on your character at the same time (which comes in handy in gang hideouts).
I think it could go both ways:
1. The Wii U version is the best, because of the extra time it's getting for development.
2. The Wii U version is the worst, because they gimped it.

Screwed the pooch by delaying the game Ubisoft, the hype has pretty much died.
Now I'm expecting a horrible port job like ACIII: the GamePad will be a glorified map/mirror of the TV, with zero touch control, even in menus!
We all should wait some reviews before setting everything on fire, what you think?

I call it realistic expectations at this point, if I expect the worst then I won't be disappointed. I expect very little from a company that makes it very clear they don't care about this version of the game. Still, it might be worth picking up if it reviews well.
Even if graphically it will somehow be worse, it will be better because of the Game Pad like mentioned by @rallydefault. I will be getting it regardless of how it is and I hope it does well.

Yea, I do think the potential to make this the "best" version of the game, gameplay-wise is out there, it just remains to be seen if Ubisoft is actually putting effort into it. Even just showing camera views on the gamepad and allowing for hacking on the gamepad would be cool and immersive, and the other systems can't do that.
Good reviews won't help the sales of this game at all - I mean, it is few months delayed port, it won't bring many people to it, especially when they will want full price for it, when on other platforms it will be much cheaper.
Can it offer a new experience? Yes, but do people care? Not that many sadly. Of course it's only my opinion, but I don't expect this game to be the bestseller or saving grace

Will though, I mean the hacking in the game is literally just a button press. The only thing that would benefit from the gamepad would be the CTOS multiplayer, and the mini game for hacking CTOS Towers and the invasions.
WAT!

Its quite unfortunate how long this game is taking. My hype has died out...mostly. I am still waiting for the WiiU version though, but its gonna be a hell of a long wait for me. I won't be paying $60 for it.
I've yet to pay $60 for any but one WiiU game.
I command the following plan, obtain green stars & stamps!
MOST ANTICIPATED WiiU GAMES:
1. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
2. The Legend of Zelda U
3. Sonic BOOM
4. Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
5. Splatoon
