There's a saying we have in Texas: "Don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining".
This game isn't delayed, folks. Mark my words: it's cancelled.
Even if it's 90 percent done, Ubisoft probably looked at Nintendo's disastrous 2013 Wii U sales, crunched the numbers, and concluded they will lose less money by cutting their losses now than by finishing the game, printing the discs and boxes, and shipping it to retailers to sit alongside unsold copies of Rayman Legends, ZombiU and Splinter Cell.
To their credit, Ubisoft has been the #1 major third-party supporter of Wii U since Day One. But they can't keep losing money on a system only owned by a handful of Nintendo enthusiasts like ourselves, who seem to shun third-party titles for the most part.

huh.... if it is in fact 90% done it'd still be better releasing than cancelling..... the money used in the WiiU version won't come back anyway so the least bad option is releasing and getting a small money from it(they CAN make a digital only release)
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

even if it isn't cancelled:
a delay will kill almost all possible wiiU sales because people will buy it on over consoles now (remember it will come out on every other console). so i think this is just like canceling the game
@6ch6ris6 I agree. I look forward to Ubisoft acting all surprised when the game fails to sell as well. No doubt, it'll come without the substantial DLC as well...
This game will be cancelled by April. Why not delay the launch like how they did with Rayman Legends to all be released at the same time? The writing is on the wall.
Well if it is only delayed I am still getting this for Wii U day one. If cancelled, and if coming to Steam, I will wait for it to be $5 or below on a Steam Sale
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Here's the thing though... Rayman Legends is considered best for Wii U even though it was delayed. The same might apply to Watch Dogs. Best on Wii U but sold worst on Wii U.
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Didn't Rayman sell the best on Wii U out of all platforms?
Sega, Platinum Games, Warner Bros. Interactive and Wayforward all say hi. Among others. :V
Ubisoft has still released more games on Wii U than those guys. Wayforward has only done like 4 games and Platinum has only done 1 game but those are developers not publishers. Sega has done about 5 and Warner Bros. did the second most at about 10. Ubisoft released 13 and has more than the others in the pipeline

And to date how many of those have been major releases? 3. Assassin's Creed 4, ZombiU and Just Dance 2014.
I don't care what anyone says, this is BS. If the game is going to be released on every other system BEFORE Wii U, then it'll be unsurprising when that version fails to sell. And just like everyone else, Ubisoft will blame Nintendo when it really was their own freaking fault yet still pull the plug on their support.
In short, this is the final nail in the coffin for 3rd party support on Wii U.
