Topic: Was it announced how many playable characters are in Hyrule Warriors?

I keep seeing things like "fans were excited by the number of playable characters", but I can't for the life of me find any specific number. I know Dynasty Warriors usually has 20+ (depending on the release) and I was wondering if it'd just be a handful for Hyrule Warriors, or if we'd see a comparable amount. Thanks!

To answer your question, the E3 demo has nine character slots including Link and Zelda, but there could easily be more in the final game.
