In a recent conversation with IGN, legendary game creator Shigeru Miyamoto was asked what he would most like to see on Nintendo’s new console. He listed two franchises: Metroid and Star Fox.

Good. This'll make me want to get a Wii U even more.

Games I'm getting: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

Favorite Game: Super Metroid (SNES) / Mother 2 (SNES) / RuneScape (PC)
Playing: RuneScape

Nothing interesting happens.

Nuh uh no way.

He also said that F-Zero on Wii U would work too. There's always hope.

I haven't played Metroid: Other M, and while the story does look really bad from what I've seen, it still looks like LOTS of fun. The whole NES-style use of the Wiimote really appeals to me for some reason. Nostalgia maybe?

Other M gets a lot of hate, mostly from Metroid Prime fanboys, and the story is ridiculous, and the game is linear, but as far as I'm concerned, it's the first true 3D Metroid game. It's what I've been waiting for ever since the n64. It's not without it's flaws, but it's still a good game regardless.

Thank you DudeSean. I don't understand why people get so worked up over storylines. It's a sci-fi video game. If it's fun, play it. If not, skip it.

As much as I want a star fox as much as miyamoto, after the poor sales of star fox 64 3d nice knowing the franchise but now it's dead! Thank you lack of online play for killing off star fox! Even f-zero in my book has a better chance at a brand new installment than star fox. :P is that sad or what?!:(
