There is no difference between digital and physical on the Wii U or the 3DS.

I actually brought up the slighly less quality from digital PS3 games months ago. The reason that happens is because they send a compressed version so it downloads faster and saves Sony money on bandwidth.

Well that's good to hear, because this isn't the case like you pointed out on the PS3 or their awful looking Bluray digital downloads on the PSN. Good to see that Nintendo didn't screw this up like Sony did. :P Still, i've got zero interest in going digital. I'll always want something physical to hold on to. Having no case, booklet or disc would make the purchase at least for me feel rather empty. different strokes, but i'm old school and i love building up a nice collection.

EB Games(Gamestop) in my area is pathetic. They had more used copies than new.
They only had about 7 games on the self that weren't used... of FOUR titles
Nintendo Lands, NSMBU, Resident Evil, and Sonic.
They had a few used copies of MH3U, Sonic, ME3, AC3, and a few others....The Wii U is literally shoved in-between the Wii & used Xbox 360 games..
Meanwhile there are 2 wal-marts within a hour of me, one's Wii U stock is okay, it gets the new releases but doesn't always restock. It had Splinter Cell, Rayman, Zelda, Wonderful 101, etc..The one a hour from me usually has better stock.
Also, aside from the EB Games Nintendo sections are usually decently busy.
EDIT: I should also add that the EB had pre-order slots out for Zelda & Watch_Dogs the last time i was there..

I work in a meijer's and The Wii U section has gotten better than it was a few months ago but it probably gets the least traction in the section.

Its hilarious these people playing an old gamecube Zelda game thinking they are playing something new or next gen hahahahha. Nintendo feeds you the same old game with some minor adjustments because they know you are starving for anything at all to play on this dust collector they sold us, and you eat it up... That is exactly why Nintendo continues to offer nothing, they know you will buy anything they put out no matter how old or bad it is.

The zelda game is a nice little game, but its OLD!!! The Wii-U is a next gen console they say, where are the next gen and NEW games?

We need NEW games like:
Battlefield 4
Dead Rising 3
Titanfall (Call of Duty with Mechs)
Madden 25
Killzone 4

And all those other "NEW" games the other consoles have... right?
No "OLD" game could be as good or better than a "NEW" game... right?
New is always better!

You mean like Pikmen 3, Lego City, and Wonderful 101? Well they are on the shelf at your nearest gaming store.

How is Titanfall call of duty with mechs when the gameplay is totally different and even the way the game handles multiplayer vs single player.

you're trying too hard to be a troll.... just be yourself it's easier and people won't hate you! ^^
because yeah there are some games that change little to nothing. there will always be(especially talking about REMAKES :p ) but you don't need even any effort to find new and different games around just open your eyes don't look for the ones you dislike and stop trying to troll everyone! if you try too hard to be a negativist critic you will forget all about having fun! :)

I do see where he's coming from. To be honest as much as I like Wind Waker I;d rather have had a Gamecube Virtual Console instead of Wind Waker HD. I feel the same way about most HD remakes tbh.

@Sony_70 I know, and about WWHD he's kind of right but assuming Nintendo ONLY shoves the same old stuff again and again(they do it too but not ONLY it) is going a bit too far

Wind Waker HD is new to alot of people, though. Everyone that hated Nintendo as much as they do now ignored it because they had a PS2 or Xbox, or a mix.

I don't really see a problem with an HD remake if a game that hardly anyone played. It's selling quite a few copies, too. Mostly everyone who is buying it didn't play it on GCN for whatever reason.

I still think GCN VC will happen, though, but not with the GCN version of WW. The games will still be 1080p, they just won't have the graphical upgrade. RE4: Wii Edition would probably sell some more copies if it was HD. That's the kind of thoughts Capcom seems to have with their older games anyway.

Back on topic... There are games. It's just a matter of whether you care or not, and there will be more.

Honestly, the reason Nintendo remakes older games for newer consoles IS because they know it will sell. I don't see Nintendo remaking games that sold like poo on the older systems, they only remake the ones that they know we will love and would like to see remastered in HD or 3D or whatever is new. And, also, you could pretty much say that no "new" game has been developed in a LONG time given that pretty much all games that come out now are just continuations of a story which doesn't really offer any new game play only minor tweaks and better graphics, boring. All the systems are stale in this category because none of the big AAA devs have much of an imagination anymore. Indi devs are doing great at filling this by bringing new and exciting titles. I am though, perfectly happy with WWHD and would love to see a new Zelda title. On another note I'd also love to see Sega become a Nintendo exclusive. I can see that being a BIG possibility.

Except Wind Waker HD didn't sell. It failed to make the NPD top 10 in the US (while another HD port, Kingdom Hearts 1.5, made a great entry), it completely bombed in Japan, and it's already sinking in UK charts. Only a small group of Wind Waker fans bought the HD port, otherwise it has failed to make a splash. It really wasn't the kind of game that Wii U needed.

In terms of the Wii U, these results did account for around two week's worth of sales at the reduced price point of $299 for the 32GB model, as well as the early arrival of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD's hardware bundle and download version. Nintendo reports that Wii U hardware sales increased by more than 200% over the August results; no firm numbers have been given. Regardless of figures, it's a positive trend ahead of more high profile releases in the coming weeks and Holiday months.

This Nintendo Life article seems to disagree with you. You do have to remember a lot of the Zelda sales are going to be either A) Digital which isn't counted or B) the System Bundle which also isn't counted. So while it is true the disc version of Wind Waker may not have sold well it doesn't mean Wind Waker HD didn't make a splash.

Starting with the Wii U, Nintendo said the system's sales jumped more than 200 percent month-over-month, thanks in large part to a price cut.

From this article, it's obvious that the price cut was the primary driver of the Wii U sales improvement. What's more, I'm sure that Nintendo would have highlighted Wind Waker HD's role in that growth and its general performance if it had actually done well. Nintendo often publishes combined retail and digital sales numbers for titles that have done well. Their silence regarding Wind Waker HD speaks volumes.

So we have two different articles that say close to the same thing, but slightly different. Your article also brings up the fact that Nintendo released the Zelda Bundle at the lower price point too. Looks like until they do release sales numbers we will never know for sure but my opinion is Zelda helped.

I'm sure both helped at least a little, but I'd bet the farm that the Price cut helped more.

That said, I think how well-populated a section is depends on the store. The Gamestops I go to are good about keeping the Wii U section well-stocked with new stuff. The Target I go to is bad about keeping any games well stocked, but the 3DS and Wii U parts seem to be the worst of the bunch...

Wind Waker HD was in the top 5 most bought list on the eShop. There were a TON of people who downloaded that game. Supposedly it has sold 152k physical copies. It was also in the top 5 downloads on the eShop for a bit. Some from individual purchase and the bundle. I'd say it's safe to say that at least 200,000 people have the game, maybe a bit more...

A sidenote from the periphery of Finland... the two biggest store chains here with hypermarkets (Kesko & S Group) do not (at the moment) appear to stock the new Sonic game, and only one of them has The Wonderful 101 or at least they list it in their online store. (Sonic: Lost World is available here, though, but in more specialized stores.) I did notice two big special edition boxes for Wind Waker HD in the nearest S Group's hypermarket earlier this week, so they haven't completely given up on the console, but I think they have more Wii games than Wii U games... at least they don't have an empty row at the bottom.

There are no objective "must-buys" or "must-haves", only "must-try".

Wind Waker HD is the number one selling Wii U game on Amazon. While it slips back and forth in the overall top 100 sales, it certainly is well... the best selling Wii U game.
