I would like to download the History Channel app to my WiiU console as well as other apps and install Adobe Flash Player to play games as well as watch shows that I miss from time to time that are linked to my facebook account? How can I do this? Do I need to buy a software? If so, where and how? Netflix was preinstalled as well as Amazon. Id like to add History Channel, Nickelodeon, Pandora, and maybe even SnapChat. Is this possible?

Snapchat is actually an interesting prospect on Wii U since the Gamepad has a built-in camera.

Sadly, none of the apps you want are available for Wii U.

Thank you for the information. Can an adobe flash player be installed somehow so that i may watch videos from facebook as i scroll through the feed? When I click on a video it routes me to download Adobe flash player but doesnt allow the download. Why?

If the app isn't in the Eshop you won't be able to install it.

I read recently the BBC Iplayer app has been removed from the Eshop and Nintendo aren't renewing the licence for it on the Wii U.

Adobe flash cannot be installed on the Wii U, it doesn't support it. I don't know if modded system can, but your regular out of the mill system isn't compatible.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Just buy a Roku stick, or Amazon Fire stick or simiar device to do that.
