Hi peps
I am considering getting an external HD for my Wii U, but considering there is only 2 usb ports and mine are already taken with my lads 'Disney infinity and skylanders portals was wondering if one of those 4 into 1 usb thingies would work??

There are two more usb ports at the back of the console, which should be enough for an external HD.

Yes, I like bears.

There's 4 usb ports, the other 2 are under a flap and they could always change the portals for Disney and Skylanders between use to free up the ports.

Yeah, there's two more in the back, but to answer your original question, a USB hub works great too. Just have to be sure it has its own A/C power source. Otherwise if you try to pump 4 things into 1 USB slot on the Wii U, the Wii U isn't going to give them enough juice to run.

Yeah, a powered USB Hub is the way to go especially if you have something else to connect to the Wii U other than just a HDD. LAN adapter, GC Adapter or any other accessory. They go for around about the price of an Amiibo so it's not a huge expense and you'll be able to use the thing for other things down the track anyways.
