Topic: Unnecessary Bundle for the Wii U?

Not to long ago Nintendo released a Nintendo Land with Luigi Wii Remote Plus Bundle for the Wii U. I will admit that I bought this bundle myself but little did it take for me to realize that this bundle may not be such a great idea for the Nintendo. Most Wii U owners already have Nintendo Land because it came with the Deluxe Set and you don't save any money by buying the bundle as it retails for 60 dollars. It may even be cheaper to buy both items separately.

We all know Nintendo isn't doing so well with the Wii U so why would they release this unnecessary bundle? What do you guys think?

Buying Nintendo Land new is different than buying used. I think a Nintendo Land Deluxe bundle is actually pretty hard to find now. They all got bought and replaced with NSMB.U bundles. It depends on what you want. This bundle is $5 more than buying used(unless you find a used Luigi remote), but the game is new.

This isn't a bundle to consider if you don't care about a Luigi remote. They probably think it will look like a good value on store shelves, especially for those who don't shop online.

That's the thing, I've only seen this bundle on Amazon.com and not in any store at all. It simply doesn't work.

I'm guessing that is your video? TBH, I wouldn't buy it. I'm not sure what Nintendo is trying to do. My guess is that Nintendo Land will probably be packed in with that Luigi remote for a good while, so that people can play the game with a friend. That game does requires a Wii remote, so it makes sense that it's bundled like that.

Plus, other copies are going for $30 in some spots online, so this looks like a better deal. I don't see this being confusing or overpriced. The only place I know of that has $15 copies is GS.

I think that you answered your own question without realizing it. Due to the fact many people already have Nintendoland, it's hard to retail the game for $60, and dropping price substantially makes it look undesirable. Bundling with an attractive Wiimote (which actually helps playing the game's multiplayer) and repackaging for $60 is the best way to make the game attractive in the market. $60 for a Wiimote and game sounds much better than $60 for the game, or even $40, or $30. I know price has dropped, but this is a strategic play to make the game desirable (and it is a good game as we all know).

I'm curious to know how many of these are out there, and whether it will be limited or not. As a collector, I will have no choice but to buy this if it's stock is limited. Even though I have both the game and Luigi Wiimote already.

I guess it might make sense if you got one of the other bundles- zelda, NSMBU, don't have/want another Wii mote and want to check out Nintendoland

Sell a new copy of Nintendoland and a great limited edition Wiimote, sounds like a good deal, though I don't want it.
