Look we have to accept the fact that if the Wii U was selling better numbers it would either have a ported down version of this or having Rogue on it. And before people say that the Wii U has sold more then the Xbox One, Assassin's Creed Black Flag sold more in the Xbone then on the Wii U. I'm not saying Ubisoft hasn't made mistakes but we also have to accept that the audience just isn't big enough now for this type of game to be successful, hopefully Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third will change those perceptions cause I really want a (good) Star Wars game on the Wii U

Yep nail on the head sales on the WII U do not justify publishers spending money bring games to the platform, I dont see Bayonetta 2 or Devil's third being system sellers tho....

I can only see Bayonetta 2 being at least somewhat successful if Smash is delayed to 2015 as well as the Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors DLC being late November.

Mario Karts release boosted console sales slightly but I dont see DLC doing that Hyrule warriors and Bayonetta 2 are both titles that apeal to a small crowd that more than likely already have a WII U. I dont see anyone going out and spending £300 on a WII U so they can play one game.

What I was getting at is Bayonetta 2 would be completely overlooked even by those who already own a Wii U with Smash (apparently) being so close. The Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors DLC (as well as Smash 3DS) would tide people over until Smash comes out hence not needing to bother with Bayonetta 2.

Mario Kart 8 doubled the Wii U's baseline.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

I was starting to miss those classic excuses.
Anyway, couldn't care less.
Let's see when the new Zelda comes out what can handle what.

Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

How is having a Wii U version cheating on fans more than deliberately reducing the quality of the PS4 version to match the XB1 version? We all know the Wii U is inferior to the PS4/XB1 with regard to specs, but the PS4 is the most powerful console this gen, and they're forcing that version to match a version inferior to it for no reason other than to make them equal......

This kind of monkey business in Microsoft contracts with devs is the reason I pray every day for the XBox One to crash and burn. That, and the fact that they tried to screw over the entire industry in the XBox One's reveal.

Another week, another excuse from Ubisoft.

It really makes me wonder how long it'll take until they give us the actual reason; that they won't be able to make enough money of a Wii U release.

Can you think of any examples where it actually has been a brilliant game / good version and complete.

Most I can think of were either inferior or an enhanced but late port.

Rayman Legends looks like it did better on Wii U than PS4 or Xbone. (Looks like it did better than any platform other than PS3).

Assassin's Creed 3 came out only a month after the other versions with all the dlc and a collector's edition too. And it had the same crappy framerate and glitching as the other versions, I speak from experience of the 360 version

It doesn't matter. It happens to all platforms but that isn't the reason for third party failure on Wii U, it all comes back to the market.

I haven't played a Ubisoft game since GameCube Splinter Cell, and I don't plan on ever playing another Ubisoft game. Mostly because I don't find their games any good, but a good chunk of that is this kind of nonsense.

There is no reason other than pure laziness. Ubi is a big enough company that they could have a separate studio work on a "lesser" Wii U version. And like everyone has said, why isn't the Wii U getting the game that's coming out on PS3/360? Lazy. And why is a watered-down, lesser version ok to release with Watch_Dogs?

Frankly, I couldn't care less. I wouldn't play this game even if it was Wii U exclusive. Screw Ubisoft. Screw them not just for this, but for a long list of bad decisions and crappy games.

And has sold really badly. I don't blame Ubisoft for giving up on a console where nobody buys their games. And anyone whom likes the AC series has been buying it on the other consoles or PC anyway.

But ZombiU and Rayman Legends were some of the best selling 3rd Party games on Wii U, (as far as I know, this could have changed by now) still no support for Wii U.

Wii U owners will complain if they get an inferior version, so if it's that or nothing, it's probably better to give them nothing and save everyone's time.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

I just don't think Rogue would be an inferior version on Wii U, might actually be the better version compared to PS3 and 360. But Wii U isn't even getting that.

Yeah, really. Most of the few Wii U owners who care that this game isn't coming probably wouldn't want to buy this hypothetical stripped-down, likely-to-be-delayed port.

Don't give a crap. Assassin's Creed 4 SUCKED, and so did 3. (I got it on PS4 btw.) I know everyone was CRAZY about the ship sailing, but I despised it. That's probably the same reason why I dislike Wind Waker too.
