Or maybe your illogically lumping every Nintendo fan into one "Fanboy" category? There can't be some Nintendo fans who actually like Ubisoft (plenty around here) and some who couldn't give a rip to play their glitchy, annual, often delayed, marked down $20.00 - $30.00 in 3 month games like me, right?

Don't buy their games, then. Simple as that.

Why do people wish for popular products to not be available to anyone just because they don't personally like it? You constantly see people here saying "I wish they would stop making [insert popular game here]" even if its a game that sells millions of copies. But hey, if THEY don't like it, no one else should. Caring about what other people play is so important right?

Who is wishing for popular products to not be available? If people want to buy annually released games then good for them. I'm part of a group that is not really interested in Ubisoft games therefor personally not affected by this news. If you are part of another group that likes Ubisoft games and wants to play them on a Nintendo console then this news probably sucks for you.

I personally really like Ubisoft, and I'm disappointed we won't be seeing any Wii U titles from them at E3.

Do keep in mind that digital only games like Child of Light aren't always shown at E3 so there's still hope of them releasing a game or two on the eshop this year. Not to mention all of their DS games that have the potential of being released on the Wii U eshop once the DS VC is available.

I'm honestly not too surprised, especially since Ubisoft is one of the few companies actually justifying the online capabilities of the Ps4 and Xbox One or why you should bother upgrading at all (even if those new online games have the exact same aesthetic insta-boredom from Titanfall)

Unlike a lot of games, I can totally buy that the Crew and the Division could be severely hurt trying to transfer to anything less online focused or even less powerful(?).

The Crew seems amazing with how big the game is. There's even a cross county race that take 24 hours to complete.

About Watchdogs its going to sell just on the fact that it's the first GTA style sandbox game on 8th gen.

These other companies can release all the crappy games they want... But none of them will come close to the awesomeness of the most successful Kickstarter in gaming history

The Ubisoft hate here at Nintendo Life is beyond ridiculous. Since 2011... Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell: Black List, Assassin's Creed IV, Far Cry 3, Trials Evolution and Child of Light have been released and all of them are good games, some even great. It's also possible two more good ones are coming this year in Watch Dogs and Far Cry 4. We'll find out about WD in a few days. FC could get pushed to 2015, if it doesn't there's a strong chance it'll be one of the better games of 2014.

I really dont understand it either. Ubisoft has improved A LOT over the last few years. I guess people are still upset about the Rayman Legends situation?

This is a cycle though. First it was EA, then Square after their FFXV comments, and pretty much every publisher has been ridiculed and spoken upon negatively when they dont put games on Nintendo's hardware as if its some personal thing. Its sad how many Nintendo supporters refuse to buy these games then ridicule the companies as if they actually played their software. Its so weird.

Four more months until Bayonetta 2.

Some people just don't like Ubisoft's games, guys. That's OK.

The loss of a major third party publisher will always be a big hit though. Like their games or not, this is bad news for Nintendo. Nintendo can't support a console on their own, not even if all of their games were game of the generation contenders.

Please undastand. We are currently buying third parties in order to have third parties for our wii u. Unfortunately, the wii u is selling like boxed cancer.

Are there games really glitchy. Never played a ubiaoft game with any major glitches. Than again I'm not on nintendo systems.

Rayman Legends runs next to flawlessly on Wii U. Splinter Cell Blacklist on the other hand is a buggy mess.

I doubt sega will entirely drop support for wii u, though I can see them going digital only after Sonic Boom is out.

Yeah, Ubisoft isn't some shovelware developer anymore. Even if you're not a fan, there's nothing gained from not having their games on the Wii U...

Not going into a shop and seeing 4 Ubisoft games all a quarter of the price of the next cheapest. Stuff like that messes up the market for everybody else. (Then people think I will just wait and the others will be like that before long. Self fulfilling).

It is a type of predatory pricing that messes it up for everyone other than Nintendo.

Doesn't that happen to pretty Much all games that aren't first party or extemly rare or in high demand.

So, you're complaining about games going down in price?

Yup, I'm going back to pretending you don't exist.

It happens to mediocre multiplatform games on other platforms.

The higher quality exclusives deserve a better deal. (Especially new exclusive IP's competing against mediocre but well known stuff like Assassins Creed).

Time will tell anyway. If all the Ubisoft stuff is gone and Sonic Boom does well we might get some more exclusives. Perhaps sales of the Wonderful 101 might get better as well.

Even on the 3DS Fifa still sells with just the same rubbish game every time and a roster update. (Even though PES 2013 is by far the superior game).

I am pretty positive about this development. (People seem to hate looking at the negatives but I think this could be the best thing to happen for 3rd party Wii U support so far).

Again, why does this only affect Wii U?

No volume on the Wii U. Exclusive on anything else and you have got a chance. (And I never cared for ports).

Even if it is only makes it 1% more likely for success then it is worth it.

You do realize the reason why that happens is because their games don't sell on the Wii U, right? Not to mention, discounts like that are often the decisions of a store to reduce stock and shift inventory. It happens on all platforms whenever a game sells poorly. Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns is an example of this. It came out only a few months ago, and its already being reduced in price at many stores.

This is not a predatory business tactic or a way for Ubisoft to screw over Nintendo. The reason why the price reductions may be exclusive to Wii U, is due to Ubisoft's games selling better on other platforms.

Think about it, what does Ubisoft have to gain from having a game reduced in price from 59.99 to 29.99 after only a month or two? That's money they are losing on that version of a game, especially if their other versions are being sold at higher prices.

Its not disrupting anything. Games and other items commonly drop in price if there is poor demand. That helps get stock moving and inventory off shelves that could be used for newer items.

Are you serious saying that stores and Ubisoft are in cahoots to sell items at reduced prices with some evil goal in mind? How would that even work?
