Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Rogue, an exciting new installment in the franchise currently in development for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, will be available worldwide on November 11.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue is being developed by Ubisoft Sofia, in collaboration with Ubisoft’s Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest studios. Set in the middle of the 18th century during the Seven Years War, Assassin’s Creed Rogue gives players new locations across North America to explore, including the frozen North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley and New York. In Assassin’s Creed Rogue, players experience the Assassin’s Creed universe through the eyes of a Templar. As Shay Patrick Cormac, players suffer the brotherhood’s betrayal and transform into an Assassin hunter.
The acclaimed naval components from previous Assassin’s Creed games have been enhanced in Assassin’s Creed Rogue. The game also gives players new weapons to use on both land and sea in pursuit of taking down the Assassins, including a new ship called the Morrigan.
“We know that there are many Assassin’s Creed fans with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles who want to get their hands on a new Assassin’s Creed game this year,” says Martin Capel, game director, Ubisoft Sofia. “Assassin’s Creed Rogue completes the North American saga started with Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and gives previous generation console owners an exclusive opportunity to experience fan-requested features, such as playing as a Templar.”
I'm more curious if it will be on PS4 - I mean, Black Flag got released and I think there also will be people who would like to play it on their PS4s or other boxes.
Timeline here has potential, although I don't know why I have a feeling it will be like AC3, only there will be more France now (like Unity is not enough).

They'll definitely release it on Ps4/XBONE. They're just being smart.
Release it on last gen systems to grab everyone left on those systems. Then make a cheap port later for Ps4/XBONE when the userbase is even bigger than now and get even more sales.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

Assassin Creed Rogue partly? takes place in North America, so it is like 3, but it will prob also have some tie ins with Unity. Rogue is only being released on the PS3 and 360 this holiday season, but I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a similar situation to the Vita exclusive, AC3: Liberation, and released it digitally on the next gen consoles during 2015.
To be fair, the Wii U is not a last-gen console. But yeah, we're not getting Unity either.
But you do get, wait for it,.........Watch Dogs!!!! Which will be released 9 months after all other versions, sell like crap, and in turn, Ubi will complain some more and pull what's left of any support for the console, Hooray!!!!!!
This comes after the news that Watch Dogs Wii U lacks online and any DLC!!!
but at least I'm sure they'll promise there won't be any day one patches, because those will be delayed for day two
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.
Any game that's third party and that comes for all systems. Will not come for the wiiu and in this case Oobisoft reason for doing this is cause of sales. So yeah third party games will not come back to wiiu.
I bought ZombiU because, well, it looked awesome and was indeed so. But as time as gone on, starting from the Rayman delay (not that it affected me in anyway apart from principles) I've bought less and less Ubi games, to the point now I'll just boycott anything from them. I won't buy Child of Light or anything else they do until they get a new CEO who will act less like a jerk, constantly belittling Nintendo users and Nintendo themselves, giving business lessons - based upon, from what I can gather, the success of a new IP which for all intents and purposes failed to deliver on pretty much anything it promised.
@8BitSamurai You owe me a broken keyboard and a soaked monitor.
Seriously guys, just go get a PS360. They are incredibly cheap now. I bought my PS3 with 2 controllers and 6 games for just $150 bucks delivered right to my doorstep. I'll probably pick this game up once it hits $30 bucks after 2 months. Sailing in the Atlantic and playing as a Templar sounds like fun.
@sub12 Honestly, that game deserves 0 sales. There is no point in hell that you should get that game on the Wii U. I mean seriously, after 9 months you can get the game on ANY platform with less than 1/2 the cost with DLC. I'm going to say it, only morons with too much money would buy the Wii U version of Watch_Dogs (This is for people who own multiple consoles and a PC). Doesn't mean I hate ubi tho, Nintendo is partly to blame for all these poopoodoodoodoggiepoople. I'm still getting the new Far Cry and Assasin's Creed on my PS3.
"...gives previous generation console owners an exclusive opportunity to experience fan-requested features, such as playing as a Templar.”
If you didn't want to play as a Templar, you are not a fan. Get out.
And how about playing as a female, Ubi$oft?
So now they do this before Watch Dogs Wii U releases, so everyone cancels preorders in retaliation and then it proves their point that the Wii U version does not sell.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.
@sub12 One more thing do you have a link or a source that makes, you say the wiiu version of watch dogs will not get DLC or lack online?
I was being sarcastic, but considering Ubi has skipped on Wii U DLC before (Freedom Cry, Tyranny of King Washington), it would not be surprising at all.
