Start with Super Mario 3D World.

I would have kept the Xbox One though, the Wii U provides some unique, amazing experiences, but it also misses out on quite a bit from the other consoles, but, at least you do have a back log of games to go through.

I was kind of like you in that I jumped back in Nintendo's camp due to nostalgia, but I am somewhat disappointed with the Wii U (although it's not a bad system),...........it's probably good to have another option though, be it another console, pc, or the portable option.

You said it. All depends on what one wants.

im really loving DK right now. Looks beautiful. Playing it reminds me of the old days... I am very happy with my decision to trade in for the wii u. Now I have to slowly start building my collection, starting here with wii u , then working my way back. There are lots of great titles on the wii I would love to get as well.

If you're looking for other games that are different in playing style to the ones you got now:

  • Pikmin 3 is a really great playing experience (use nunchuck on this game), with great 2-player modes as well.
  • Lego City: Undercover is another very nice title with great GamePad functionality (it's very different and much better than any other LEGO title).
  • Wonderful 101 is another very unique title that you will either love or hate.

For the Wii mode, make sure to play Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 (they both requires nunchuck).

this was a wise investment in my eyes . the xb1 may be a worthwile console to own in a few years, but right now ? i dont think so.
i havent touched my 360 or ps3 since picking up my wii u a year ago. im allready thinking of getting a steambox to sit near my wii and leave the new age big boys alone to scrap.

Ok, now that you're an offical Nintendo console owner here are the rules:

1. You will sit in anticipation for the "monthly" Nintendo Direct and build your expectations to extreme highs.
2. Always be disappointed that they never meet your expectations and express your complaints on any and every comment section you can find.
3. Look forward to Mondays/Thursdays (Depending on your country) to see what's being released on the eShop. Like rules 1 & 2 you can build hype and expectations as well as being disappointed.
4. If you're from the US complain about not getting Super Mario Bros. 3 VC. You only have a couple weeks before it's release so get this in while you can.

I may have forgot a few rules.

You forgot one:
5. Suggest random non-nintendo characters for smash bros on miiverse

Check in for new sheets every Monday. There's lots of Fire Emblem arrangements coming.

Personally I don't believe your story. Unless you "traded" with someone else and not from a retail store.

Can't think of any retailers who would pay 600 bucks for a Xbox 1 and 3 games.

Either way, congrats on the new Wii U! Add me up if you need someone to play with on Monster hunter! You can see my details in my signatures.

Idk GameStop runs crazy deals at the beginning of console generations to beef up their used selection for the new generation.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

My total trade was $453 total at game stop. I got an extra 40% for pre ordering Mario Kart 8. I also had $34 on my game stop card as well as a $20 off coupon for any used game. So after picking everything out I paid a little over $13 out of my pocket. So if you add that up I spent roughly $520.

I did the same for a Zelda 3DS XL and Super Mario 3D world. Between the bonuses, gift cards and PowerupRewards discounts, I spent $25 with tax out of pocket for both.

Thats a pretty impressive. You walked in with a console and 3 games and walked out with a limited edition one and 5 games. Even if you count the credit you still only spent a little more than a 3DS game.

You might want to work through MH3U along side the others, otherwise by the time you get around to it it'll suck up months of your time trying to finish it.

So its been 2 days owning my New WII U and I'm loving it. I feel like a kid again. I don't know what it is, but playing nintendo games, feel different from playing games on other systems. For me so far its a toss up pf what to play ( DK or Mario 3d), they are both great games. I have been messing around with MiiVerse and I can't believe how good its. I discovered you can post screen caps in mid-game as well. I had no clue, and I think most non Wii owners have a clue about this. With all the negativity I have heard or read about the system and or game's, it cant change my mind that I made the right choice. Now I'm just waiting on Mario Kart 8...well better get back to playing...Don't forget to send me some friend invites, always looking for some good people to play with.

Miiverse is oddly obscure, for certain. It's also weird in that it's much more positive than most online communities, though I'm unsure if that's due to zealous moderation or just the wider age range found there.

Well if you play Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate talk to my little bro, he's like a god when it comes to that game, he'll get you some good materials

Honestly ever since that fiasco with the Xbox One reveal, and going through THREE broken 360s I have been done with Microsoft for awhile. I don't know if I'll keep this grudge going on, but man I just can't back them right now...also the only game I would even consider getting right now is Dead Rising 3.
