Topic: Touchpad won't stay on

Hey, heard lots of people that were having a problem with their wii u gamepad powering on and then the blue power light fads and goes off and then nothing happens, Well this is supposed to happen, My daughter dropped the gamepad (and did not tell me first), but after finding a tiny tiny ribbon cable unplugged,(magnify glass needed) I plugged it back in and the blue light comes on, fades and then the screen lights up, then every thing was ok.
1-open back of gamepad, 2-unplug and take out battery, take off back cover carefully.
(tiny cable between the circuit board and the plastic cover, be very careful)
When looking at the circuit board the tiny ribbon is on the top right, it will say 2.2 a little bit above it, its tiny so look hard, on mine it had unplugged itself and fallen under the circuit board, i plugged it in powered on and all ok. Just look hard, 3 ribbons must be plugged into the circuit board from the lcd screen.

thanks for this hope it works. I had the fading light, bought new battery and it did same thing, will check this cable.

The dimming led problem is pretty much always caused by a loose ribbon cable somewhere, so good luck.

Check them all, not just the one this person mentioned.
