And even though it's a remake, Wind Waker HD is amazing.

I don't think I was all that abrasive. You called me out and then I responded. If you don't like responses, then why forum? Anyway, I am a fanboy in my own right. I love Nintendo. When I come to NintendoLife it bothers me to see people who cry about not getting the games they want on the system. Well, go buy the system that has the games you want then. It's that simple. Or put your writing prowess to better use and contact those companies and show fan support for bringing them to the Wii U.

...I called you out because you were abrasive. Even in that first post, you said things like "These games are crap" and "Deal With it". That's being abrasive. If you don't believe me, look at all the responses you've generated. All you did was make people mad, and your point fell on deaf ears. It's not about what you say, but how you say it. Just watch your wording, and things will go a lot smoother. :/

And before anyone says anything, I know I have to work on this, too, but I've been trying...

Anyways, back on topic, now I get your point, and I agree that whining about not getting the games you want won't solve anything.

@Smexi - I've actually seen people with Full Time jobs able to game 3 hours a day on week days, and 5 or more hours on weekends. That's more than enough to beat most of the games currently on the Wii U in only a few months (especially since there aren't any RPGs on it at the moment), and with no achievements, there's little incentive to go back to these games. Granted, I think by that point you should consider either having multiple consoles, or replaying older games anyways just to get more use out of them, maybe play them on a harder difficulty or something.

Or maybe even consider a new hobby that'll last you longer...

I think a lot of people are misconstruing this thread to be saying "The Wii U is a bad console because it doesn't have a lot of games". The Wii U is awesome, which is why we'd all like to see it get more support. There are a decent number of well-received games on the system overall. But once you narrow those down due to your personal tastes, there aren't a that many that will be fun FOR YOU. And when you are only releasing 4 new games a month... well that's just unacceptable. It's this reason that many of us do end up purchasing two consoles for each generation, a Nintendo console for it's 1st party games, and Sony/Microsoft/PC for everything else. There's no reason why Nintendo couldn't be the only console you needed.

Well, to be fair, the anger came mostly from having a different view.

Back in the day a lot of people had two consoles. A Sega and a Nintendo. I had both because each had games you couldn't get on the other. Nintendo (in my opinion) had the better games, but I NEEDED Shinobi. Much is true for the current state of things. I own a gaming PC and a Wii U. I prefer my Wii U, because the games are better. (Well, the ones made for it anyway.)

I am so happy there wasn't an internet back then for people to get on and complain with poor grammar and punctuation about gaming.

I'm using the Wii backwards compatibility a lot. The Wii has a huge game library, with many interesting games I haven't even played yet or want to play again. It's unfortunate that Wii U is lacking in new releases, but that's what you get when you release a console with a Gamepad and Nintendoland.

That's where the wording comes into play. I'll bet my house that people would've responded more calmly if you just said "I don't like a lot of those games" or "I don't think these games are very good". Simple things like that will make all the difference.

Anyways, I think Howard has a point here, even if we have plenty of good games, that pool becomes more restricted once you factor in personal tastes.I know I usually play RPGs and fighting games, so I don't have much to play on the Wii U. Granted, in this situation, that's where you might want to consider going outside your comfort zone. I know I got Wonderful 101 and even some platformers, despite the fact that I normally don't like those types of games, and I've actually enjoyed them.

Meatheads can be nerds. Nerd, to me, is a term of endearment. Like, I can tell from your avatar; the muscles, the pillow, and being on this site you probably like Nintendo. So, I would say, judging by appearances, you might kind of be a meat-head-nerd. In the most positive way possible.

To be fair too, you guys are also failing to see it the other way around. It would be great if all those games listed were to come to Wii U, but in reality, a lot of the great games on Wii U will never make it PS and Xbox either.

A LOT of Xbox / PS owners would probably be happy if games like Beyonetta, X, Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Pikmin and Kart / Smash made it to those platforms as well.

Edit: Oh yeah and Monster Hunter too!

Could the situation be better? Sure, but between the Nintendo first party titles and the top quality third party titles that actually do make it to the Wii U, I am very content, and I am more than busy with that amount of games.

For those of you, which seems to be a lot, that are way too comfortable with WiiU's Offerings.
2. Mass Effect Trilogy (1, 2, and 3 Complete with DLC)

No, they were never released complete with DLC. Mass Effect 3: SE is in fact superior version for me because of the incredible use of the game pad, and unlike the trilogy, it includes DLC.

6. Castlevania Mirror of Fate HD

well, played on the 3DS with 3D effect.

7. Dead Space 3

Now why would Wii U get DS3 all of the sudden?
See next category. DS1 was awesome, didn't bother after it because it changed from horror to shooter. Wii got a spinoff title, that's it. Not every series is AC and will jump to Nintendo all of a sudden, especially if it's EA.

Yeah, Wii/Wii U is not getting those games. People don't want them. So companies not making them. 40 titles to play on other consoles then, if people are interested, dozens of other exclusive titles to play on the Wii U. I don't see where the problem is. Personally, I like games like Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed and will buy them on my Wii U. But that's it. I don't need to buy 20 other games because that's.... crazy.

I have said it once and I will say it again (and this is in no way to diminish the opinions of others): None of the games in the list above interest me. That doesn't mean they are crap. It doesn't mean they suck and people who like them are just dumb mindless idiots. It just means I don't like them.

This argument is pretty simple. Both sides are right and those who agree or disagree with the premise of this thread don't seem to get it (again, not because you are stupid). Every gamer will simply have to ask themselves several questions when looking at getting a WiiU:

1. Do I like First-Party Nintendo games? (If the answer is yes, keep going)
2. Do I want to play a lot of AAA third party games? (If the answer is yes, keep going; if the answer is no (like it is for me), you probably have your answer and the Wii U is right for you)
3. Can I afford another console or play those other games on a PC? (If the answer is no, keep going; if the answer is yes you probably have your answer and the Wii U is right for you)
4. Do I value Nintendo first party games more then AAA third party games? (If the answer is no, you have your answer and the Wii U is probably not right for you; if the answer is yes...well, you get it)

As it stands this is the exercise that everybody needs to go through. This isn't changing anytime soon. I love my WiiU and the games I have played (although, I am not too sure how I feel about Arkham Origins...a third party title). We can sit here and get mad at each other for disagreeing whether or not the WiiU is worth it, OR we can acknowledge that other people have different preferences then we do. If you really want Lords of Shadow 2, great! I support you in getting a PS4. If you would rather play Zelda U, just as great!

There really is no wrong answer here, its just a matter of preference.

Your coming across as a very rude and irritating person who is not really adding much to this thread.
On topic I wonder if Nintendo is trying to get more 3rd parties on board cause lately it hasn't been feeling that way.

Well, not exactly. When you say "afford" include "afford the time", not the cost. And also ask "Are third party offerings on the Wii U, such as Ubisoft's AC, Watch Dogs,Warner Bros. Batman and so on, enough for me, and I enjoy them and wouldn't want to play more third party games this year..."

But isn't the whole point is having variety in what you want to play.

@dumedum

I'd disagree that the Wii U version of ME3 is the best since you can't play any if the other DLC and you lose the main hook of the game.

Also the main thing is about gaming droughts I guess, the Wii U is probably going to go through a major drought till may. It won't be that bad depending on how and when you play games, plus eshop/VC.

But it sucks for someone who night a Wii u due to Nintendo's promise of having good third party support and now they have to shell out another 200 or more to play another game.

@Tritonus

But those game would be exclusive anyway right, expect we'll monster Hunter.

Here's the thing for me, and probably a lot of other people. I own at least 16 games on my Wii U (retail + digital, not including VC), and for the time the Wii U has been out, that is a lot more than I usually purchase for a system. At least 1/2 of those I have not completed yet and I have at least 2 games I have not even opened yet. Also consider I have numerous 3DS games I have yet to finish, some a year old at least. This is because I don't have a lot of time to play games each day as I do many other things too (whether that is working, programming, going to events, etc), so while everyone has their backlog of games to actually finish, how many people actually do finish them? It's one thing to say a system doesn't have a lot of games, but if you aren't buying them all and are building up a backlog, then what's the problem?

Well I'm saying it's the best for ME3. It's missing some DLC but has the most important. Obviously it misses two whole games, but for the third it is the ultimate version. I don't care about not playing the first two. The comic (and the tons of in-game encyclopedia) was good enough for me. No time to play all 3. And frankly, without the game pad screen (map), I wouldn't want to play Mass Effect at all.

Some months ago, I had my brother-in-law's PS3 for two weeks. So in this time I decided to play AC II (yes, 2), TLOU and Tomb Raider. I finished all 3 games. Wasn't too excited about any of them (ACII was the best among them in fact) but I beat them all. So you can actually play a lot of games very quickly. Now, generally, that would take me ages to finish 3 games. Because I'll go to sleep early and come back late. But here I just spent concentrated amounts of time. Now there are gamers out there which this is the life for them. They play more than a few games every month, each month, every year, all year. That's nuts if you ask me, but it's what they do. Buying multi consoles or saying that Wii U's library is not enough is only for people like that.
