For the curious I went through this thread so far and created a list of the most popular games. Unordered lists gave 3 points to each of their games, ranked lists gave 5 points for 1st, 4 for 2nd etc, etc. Here is the top 20:
Not going to bother doing this for any extra posts because this took a bit longer than I thought it would.

Hmm, seems like I should really pick up Monster Hunter some time.

This is awesome, thanks for this. Guys, Wonderful 101 has a new retail price of 29.99 so that definitely raises the value. If you have a Wii U but don't have it then you should get it, it's a steal!
Since Super Metroid has been mentioned...
1. Super Metroid
2. Super Mario 3D World
3. Nintendo Land
4. New Super Mario Brothers U
5. Pikmin 3
Super Metroid is the only game I've purchased for the Wii U in 2013 that I have completed and have done so twice. I'm still working on Super Mario 3D World and I'm thinking of getting Pikmin 3 completed but that's been slow going.

5. New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Luigi U
4. Assassin's Creed 3 / Nintendo Land
3. Rayman Legends / The Wonderful 101
2. Super Mario 3D World
1. The Wind Waker HD
I don't have Sonic Lost World (Wii U) or Pikmin 3 yet, so I can't put those on my list.

So basically it failed rediculously hard. Even third party games don't drop to half-price in 4 months unless they're doing extremely bad. This is a crying shame...

We didn't need a price cut to tells us it failed commercially. And, to be honest, as much as I love The Wonderful 101, it's one of the hardest games to confidently recommend to anyone. Most of the gamers I know are unfortunately as likely to hate it at first blush as even give it a chance. (Another Platinum game I had the same trouble with was Madworld, I got what it was about and had a blast, but most I showed it to thought it was a goofy, pointless mess.)
Overall, a price drop is a good thing. Much easier to recommend at this price and hopefully it stands as more of a selling point for those interested in the console. Besides, Platinum games rarely sell well before price cuts (though W101's performance has been notably depressing). I believe even the original Bayonetta (a million seller) struggled until it hit the $20 price point.
1. Just Dance 4 & Just Dance 2014 (cheating a bit but they're both fantastic!)
2. New Super Mario Bros. U & New Super Luigi U (at least this one was an expansion pack)
3. Wii Party U
4. Trine 2: Director's Cut
5. Mighty Switch Force HD & Mighty Switch Force 2 (practically two games for the price of one with how cheap they are!)
Only going to rank the games I beat 100% since I can't really give a fair assessment otherwise
1. Super Mario 3D World
2. Pikmin 3
3. Rayman Legends
4. Nintendo Land
Still playing Wind Waker HD, but that would probably be #3 for me, pushing Rayman and Nintendo Land down. I don't think I'll EVER 100% Cloudberry Kingdom, let alone beat it, but it's not that great. I also have ZombiU but I hate it so it should get negative points
