Topic: thinking about selling my nexus 7 for wii u

I was wondering how the gamepad works as tablet. I mean I only youtube , Facebook and browse internet on nexus. Was just curious if I'd be missing out on those things with the Wii u gamepad. I really want to get one to play monster hunter with my son and our 3ds. I wouldn't mind sacrificing my table for one if it did most of the tablets work at a good rate.

The web browser on the Wii U is pretty fast, alot faster than my smartphone. The big thing about the gamepad is that you can't take it with you anywhere like a tablet. Anywhere in a house would work, but it can't work on it's own away from the wii u too far.

I only use it in my house. I was wondering how those apps I use worked if there are any for the u.

I'm not on facebook so I don't know about that, but the internet browser and Youtube have both functioned perfectly well for me.

However... what you plan to buy think again! it's not a very good time for a Wii U. I reccomend saving the money! The PS4 could be one of the best things right now to save money for right now~ _{or if you really want the wii u just save the money and wait for a price drop til it really interests you.}

The Facebook is horrible on the gamepad. The YouTube is great, it even looks nice. Just a fair warning, the internet browser does not have flash and a lot of websites use it today. I have never really understood the point of having tablets. They are just too bulky to carry around and laptops are better. If you like Android go get an S3 or wait for the S4. If you like iOS go get an iPhone or a mini. I don't know your financial situation, but right now to be blatantly honest the Wii-U is not worth it right now. Wait until Holiday 2013 to get one and pick up the 3D Mario. If you really want to play Monster Hunter 3 then go get it, but when you finish, there aren't many options after that.

I purchased a Wii U at launch and since then it has become my main internet browser. I use it to browse, purchase, watch videos and listen to music etc It truly is a legitimate alternative to PCs/laptops and smart phones. I only ever use my laptop for work purposes etc

Not really. The Nexus 7 is better than the Wii U gamepad, but the gamepad can still preform all of the functions you mentioned earlier with varying success. If you're even remotely interested in the Wii U library I don't think you'd be disappointed making the switch.

Depends how often you use your Nexus 7 or if you take wit with you.

Just an update guys and not that any of you really care to hear. I've decided to keep my Nexus 7 but I found a new Wii u on Amazon for $253 shipped to my doorstep. Thought it was too good a deal to pass up. At least that's how I explained it to my wife ; )
