As far as I know. There's nintendo land (you can get that for free when you buy the Deluxe bundle, there's a bunch of team modes). NSMBU. Trine 2. Pikmin 3 (mission mode) Super Mario 3d World (coming soon) DKC tropical freeze (coming soon) Sonic Lost World (coming soon) Dungeons and dragons chronicles of mysteria (coming soon).
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.
New Super Mario Bros and similar games where one plays and another person "helps" them with gamepad seem like a great way to get a special someone involved in video games.
Someone already mentioned 3D World, played the demo and it was a lot fun. I would say Monster Hunter, but one of you would need a 3DS in order to play together, also dunno what genres you two are into. But I figured I would say something about it anyways. (the series needs to become popular over here anyways, lol)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Warriors Orochi 3 can be a team game... Monster Hunter 3 but as suggested you need a 3DS... Lego Batman 2 is a good team game.. (One player Batman.. the other Robin).. and Lego Batman should be on the cheap by now..
I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...
My fiance and I love playing Game & Wario, Nintendo Land, and sometimes Scribblenauts and New Super Mario Bros. U together. Good console for couples in my book.
All in all, it's a great console. It already has a solid lineup of games, and it's only $350.

Now playing: Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, New Super Mario Bros., Bastion
New Super Mario Bros.
Nintendo Land
(maybe) Need for Speed: Most Wanted
It wouldn't hurt to give Sing Party a try
And Spin the Bottle: Bumpy's Party could also be some fun. Especially with visitors.
I really wish I had a girlfriend to play Bonnie and Clyde in Need For Speed Most Wanted U... I think you should try it, especially with the Wii Wheel to really get in the mood. (It's really precise and I think it's the best and most enjoyable want to play the game.)
In co-driver mode, one of you'd get to drive the car with the Wiimote+WiiWheel combo while the other one on the GamePad can help with stirring, brakes and everything and even drive the cops out of the way. Choose a cop runaway mission or just disturb the peace a little in Fairhaven and I think you in for some fun!
If you do do that with your soulmate, please tell how it is so I can get an idea of what I'm dreaming of and missing.
I will pick up a Wii U in a little bit (if they have it in stock). Pretty excited!
Also, DePapier, how incredibly neat would it have been if they would have let the 2nd person (with the tablet) be the shooter from the car (try to shoot the cops or people around you)....

Honestly, Nintendoland is one of the most fun local multiplayer games I've ever played. I'm sure you and your girlfriend would enjoy it. The only downside is a few of the games really only shine with a large group (over 3 people).
And every couple I know enjoys beating a Mario game together.....as long as you don't take it too seriously. The co op challenges in NSMBU are great.
Is the Wii U a good console for couples? Any couples out here that play Wii Together?
What are games that we can buy that we can play together but that are not playing against each other/competitively..
1. Yes, I love playing it with my g/f. The WiiU offers some great local CoOp games, we've had lots of fun with it.
2. New Super Mario Bros. U (and if you guys like that, also get New Super Luigi U) & NintendoLand is what I would recommend.
I'm personally getting Rayman Legends, Super Mario: 3D World & Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze later this year. They're sure to be some amazing CoOp games as well.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again
