Probably just would have added 8GB of ram and have video uploading and Livestreaming as apart of Miiverse. I think going X86 would have helped despite that killing BC.

To be fair, is the 8 GB of ram even practical or just "Power for the sake of power"? That kind of RAM is only really useful for multitasking like PS4's auto-downloads that Sony mentioned at e3.

Its also good for developers being able to use that ram for games, I think Johthan Blow said the WItness is using 5GB so far.

The WIi U is the only three of the next gen consoles that still has some features sandboxed out. I hate the fact that on the Wii U I can't go to the home screen from anywhere in the system.

I think that if the Wii U had been the console that Nintendo had used to compete with the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 then they would have won by a long shot. The problem is that they've produced a fantastic current-gen console that flattens the X360 and PS3, but isn't quite enough to compete with the PS4 and XB1! They're just a bit late with it honestly. They've squandered their 12 month head start, and now many people must ask themselves "Come Christmas 2014, do I want a Wii U, or do I want an Xbox One or PS4?"

12 months ago, they could have bought a Wii U and a XB1 or PS4. At this point, many people are in a position of "Wii U OR XB1 OR PS4."
I think the thing about RAM right now is that, for example, Jonathan Blow says that The Witness uses 5GB of RAM on the PS4. That's true. But launch PS3 titles used all 256MB or w/e the PS3 had, but compare screenshots of Resistance: Fall of Man with Uncharted 3! The consoles aren't even out yet, it will take a long time for the systems to be fully optimised by developers. Bear it in mind, because if the PS3 can produce The Last of Us on 512MB of RAM, what is the Wii U capable of producing with 2GB? That's 4x the total RAM. Will the differences between the Wii U and the PS4/XB1 be noticeable? Probably not for the first few years, and by that time you may well have enough money to get a PS4/XB1 as well as your Wii U. Just some of my thoughts.

that at all is not true many people are saying ps4 and wii u or pc and wii u this gen wii u will be a secondary console. so its not ps4 or wii u its ps4 and wii u or xbox and wii u(same thing happen with the wii)

My point is that actually right now people aren't saying "I'll get a Wii U, but should I also get a One or PS4?" 12 months ago that would have been a very real possibility, but the PS4 is £349, and the Wii U Deluxe is about £319; if the Wii U was the same price as a Wii, sure, people would get both, but people are essentially presented with the choice "If I can't afford to spend ~£650 on two consoles, which one should I pick?" That's why I think that the first 12 months head start they had was so important, because they had an opportunity to market the Wii U while people weren't making "Either/or" decisions.
