All 2D platformers are the same? Why don't we just also conclude that every RPG is exactly the same while we're at it!!
at least in my case it's not that they're all the same, it's that I'm equally bad in almost any of them

Although I love pretty much every game shown, or at least think I'll love the ones to come out, I do admit that Nintendo needs a bit more diversity with their games. In appearance and gameplay. Luckily we've got Bayonetta and Devil's Third. Which will most likely sell terribly and make the developers wish to never work with nintendo again, but it'll be a really refreshing change of pace for my Wii U catalog
Looks like more of a marketing mistake than an actual variety issue. Devil's Third, ZombiU, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate weren't featured in the trailer. I imagine the reason for Devil's Third not being in the trailer is the content - all of the games shown use trailer footage, and Bayonetta 2 is in because it's trailers are greenbanded, while the trailer for Devil's Third is not.
@Operative Platinum's games always sell poorly, so they won't care too much and would want to work with Nintendo again. As for Valhalla, I have no idea.
@IceClimbers Zombiu was not going to be shown cause it's old and i don't think oobisoft will let them show their game in the trailer.Devil's third was not shown cause nintendo of europe thinks the game is to violent and it has nudity,so i think that's what happened to Zombiu too i guess.

All I gathered from that video was that if you don't feel like playing colourful platformers, aren't interested in cartoony graphics and don't like silly sound effects, 95% of the games on the Wii-U won't interest you.
When I look at the PS4 line-up, I have no interest. I'm not interested in realistic graphix, shooting galore, and the plentiful anime stuff
@midnafanboy That's pretty much what I was saying. Devil's Third is a violent game that didn't have a greenbanded trailer. Bayonetta 2 does. Bayonetta 2 is probably more violent than Devil's Third is, and definitely features more nudity as it has it like every 5 seconds.

Depends on Nintendo. Will they want to fund Bayonetta 3? Platinum may want to make Bayonetta 3 exclusive to Wii U, but that means nothing if Nintendo doesn't fund/publish it. If Sega does the funding/publishing, expect it to be a timed exclusive at best.
@IceClimbers I have to disagree with something you said, bayonetta 2 is not more violent than devils third.I seen the new trailer and the old is more violent than bayonetta,there's blood and gore every second of the game. But the nudity part bayonetta 2 has that devil's third does not have that.

Xenoblade, Earthbound and Dragon Age. Totes the same game.
also, literally the past couple of platformers I played on Wii U were in fact, entirely different. There's at least 3 or 4 notably different platformer genres, and I'm not even counting 3d platforming.
...I love 2D platformers. But not that Toki Tori game for some reason. Very disappointed in that one. I apologize because the bird slightly resembles your avatar.

I don't mind the bright, colorful, and cartoony but just do something with it besides another platformer. I enjoy platformers but 3 generations ago we were exploring 3D worlds in Nintendo games. Now we are so confined. It's to bad to because a setting like DKC: TF looks like an awesome place to explore but instead we can only go from left to right or occasionally up and down for a brief moment.
I feel the exact same way. It feels like a step backwards—too far backwards, that is.
