Topic: They Did It Again...

I'm new here so just thought I'd say hi But anyhow, I've been Nintendo die-hard since my first console (N64) but after getting the Wii U at launch I did the unthinkable and got rid of it after a few months of no A+ games and a ridiculously slow OS. I thought to myself 'That's it, Nintendo have finally given up the ghost'. A few year or so went by and then NBA 2K15 tempted me into buying a PS4. Don't get me wrong, the PS4 was great and the graphics were unreal, but then I got a bit bored and started to just want to play a 'fun' game, not some huge open world shoot em up. With that, after a week of PS4 i returned it and got another Wii U with SSB, MK8, Captain Toad and NBA 2K13. All I can say is wow, MK8 and SSB have blown me away. This happens after every home console release, Nintendo have a slow start and then bang! They really kick into gear. I've seen an increasing amount of articles online saying why the Wii U is the best out and out games console available. No messing around with media players and blu rays, it's there to play games. Plain and simple.

So I guess my point is, do you think this next 12 months are going to be big for Wii U, it's never going to reach Wii numbers or catch up to PS4/Xbox One, but in terms of quality, it has to be way ahead?

I was lucky, I almost bought an xbox one... but somehow found my way into nintendo gaming...

Right now there is an amazing PS4 game coming out: THE ORDER

it also got amazing reviews on metacritic

Hope this will make people realize that graphics arent everything and that Nintendo is where the fun is

I think 2015 will be an amazing game for the wii u, not too amazing I am afraid, (I am hopefully proven wrong here).
I think there are some great games coming out this year (could be more of them), what they can do, however, to make it amazing: make some amazing announcement during E3

I think it's pretty obvious Animal Crossing is coming at E3, but I'd love to see a 1st person Metroid game.

Bought animal crossing in a bundle with my 2ds - havent played it yet...

I think there is something coming from retro games and this should be metroid, I think Nintendo would be foolish not to make another title in these hard times.
Another pikmin might be possible, but thats just a gut-feeling

You sold it after a few months? You were just waiting to regret that decision...

I got mine in early 2013 and regretted it until MK8. Thank goodness I didnt sell it.

I got mine at Launch and love it, ZombiU was a big part of that lol

so you sold your Wii U within months, then after you bought a PS4 you sold that within months and bought another Wii U?! Put some long-term thinking into your investments, man! We all knew the Wii U had a slow start, we all knew it would pick up, we all knew the PS4 would always be boring and it was the most rushed Sony console ever.....

I think you should wait before you do this with consoles. You probably shouldn't have sold the Wii U or the PS4. I mean really a week? That's not enough time to decide. And have you seem it's line up? It's insane this year. You might have really liked it had you researched more games or waited a bit. And by return, I hope you meant that and not sold. Because you're wallets gotta be bleeding from being so wishy-washy like this. And make sure not to sell the Wii U for something else again after you play what's out for it.

What? No one knows this, becaue it's not true...

Meanwhile I still have 20 Wii U games I've yet to finish and a few would last me a month or more on their own even if I played them a couple hours every day....

EDIT: Misread his post. Yeah...you remind me of my one friend who kept buying and selling the same games and consoles repeatedly...

The Wii U has a great line up of exclusives but I think the Xbox one and PS4 have much better overall line ups.

As for first party content only I'd rank them.

Wii U > Xbox One > PS4

But yeah, to avoid the indecisiveness so to speak, I personally hold off until the platform has enough quality titles until I buy it. Some platforms sooner than others but this way, I feel like I made the right decision. Hence why I've never had the urge to sell any of my consoles or handhelds.

I know a guy who did the exact same thing with a girlfriend. Think yourself lucky, the Wii U won't hold a grudge for you being silly. It should though.

Bruhs, I'm watching the giantbomb quick look of the Order and man ignoring everything else the game is getting crapped on, the game just looks boring for something that built its self on spectacle.

I do find it funny that out of the big three new IP in each systems second year The Order is the least gamey of them. ( other two being sunset overdrive and Wonderful 101).
