Topic: The Witcher 3 or Xenoblade Chronicles X?

I would get Xenoblade Chronicles X over The Witcher 3, even though I have a Wii U and Xbox One and can get both anyway.

Xenoblade Chronicles X (or the original or the 3DS version for that matter, or The Last Story or a dozen other games).

I've never played the Witcher and what I've seen and heard...there's no good comparison. I will say that Xenoblade is more like a JRPG taking queues from western RPGs while still very much being a JRPG. If you want a JRPG with more freedom and exploration, then go for it. If you like Western RPGs for their choices and more action-y combat, apparently The Witcher is somehow a good choice according to most of the people who have played it (at least as far as I've encountered).

Seriously, my only experience with the Witcher are some very fuzzy memories of being really frustrated with The Witcher demo (at least I think it was a demo and not a pirated copy of the game...) back in early or mid 2008. Aparently The Enhanced Edition - Director's Cut was a pretty extensive change up of the game, Witcher 2 was a supposedly a lot more polished, and Witcher 3 could be a different genre for all I know, I have so blocked that one out, and probably will continue to do so until I finally get up the courange to play the two Witcher games I got for pennies during the last Steam sale...

The characters in Xenoblade Chronicles match the art style of the world. In X, they don't. The world is quite realistically textured. Actual realistic humans would be better suited.

It has giant anime robots and some of the monsters are pretty cartoon-y. Not to mention everybody dresses like they're at AOD. I actually think more realistic faces would be far more out of place...

Do you actually think that TW3 will be as big as XCX? I really want a big game.

It's way bigger if you read about this game or played the other's in the series.You will know,The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will be bigger than Xenoblade chronicles X.

If XCX is as big as they're saying it's going to be (~10x as big as the original), it's going to be huge. Bigger-than-Skyrim huge.
Not only that, but - going by the original - the world is full of hidden places (you're never unrewarded for finding an out-of-the-way nook), hundreds of subquests, and it generally feels like the planet is a living place compared to the emptiness of some open-world games.

Honestly, I thought you were talking about XBCX, because all that applies to that game, too, especially the 300+ hour thing...

Only thing Witcher 3 does better out right is graphics the rest well really we need to wit for both to release to find out.

And really, that's that.
It all boils down to: do you want a Sci-Fi/Fantasy aesthetic, or do you want a dark, brooding fantasy?

Let's use Skyrim as a reference point. According to reports from the developers, XCX's world will be 10x Skyrim's. Accordingly, The Witcher 3 is reportedly 20% (1.2x) bigger than Skyrim. It's not even close and that should be obvious when you consider that in XCX you can fly around in massive mechs that even transform into vehicles to speed around in.

Well, Skyrim is only about 10% bigger than XC. Clearly the land mass is more open, so it may seem much bigger compared to XC's regions, but there isn't a very significant difference in the area of the two game worlds.

I think i worded it wrong,cause like you said all the things i said applies to both games.Cause the Witcher 3 i read a while ago is going to have like 500 hours of gameplay with all the little details of the world it will have just like Jazzer said we will have to wait and see.When both games come out.

To be clear, in terms of sheer numbers:

Skyrim = 38-40km^2

TW3 = ~50km^2

XCX = ~400km^2

Grow up or don't spread misinformation/assumptions. Something to be said for accepting when you are wrong. And you weren't even close.

No one asked for you to state your opinion as fact. And what is the point if posting an opinion if you can't deal with some dissent?

To be fair, it doesn't matter whether you're right or wrong, once you stoop to insults, you've already lost the argument...

Also, "20% Bigger" was the original intention. of Witcher 3. It got bigger.
