Topic: The Wind Waker HD Bundle supposedly has better hardware than launch consoles

Some people are reporting 20+ foot increases in the distance they can game with their controllers over launch gen consoles.

This is a link to a video on Zelda Informers Facebook page showing it.

I'm a PC player but I'll always have a spot for Nintendo. I grew up as a child as a hardcore Nintendo fanboy and I still love their games. The Legend of Zelda still gives me the magic feeling I had when I was a kid. :)

I can bring mine all over my house(mine a little small but still) and i got mine at launch..so its irreverent in till people test both

I asked him if it was just the controller from the bundle or the system itself, he didn't reply. I want him to test his launch console controller with the Wind Waker Bundle console.

rumours....

or they're untapping the hidden capacities of the WiiU strating with the bundle!!!

and if it's being untapped it means my theory was right but my predicted timing was wrong..... though I was just daydreaming when I made the theory that the WiiU is stronger than Nintendo is letting people know. making the OS was purposedly put a short limit to the WiiU capacities to wait for PS4/Xbone launch(whichever comes first)

Well this guy in the video has a small house too, he walks through it. Before on his launch console he could only get 10 feet, with his Wind Waker Bundle console he gets 30 feet and it reaches into every room in his house. Unless he's lying about his tests but I wouldn't see the point to that.

One test really doesn't prove much. I can get at least 30 feet and through a wall with my launch console

I can't even play on the room next to the room where my WiiU is.

Damn sturdy and safe walls.

As long as I turn on the system with the gamepad while standing in the room the Wii-U is in, I can easily take it downstairs and play no problems.

Its hardware limitations that make the Wii-U technologically weaker than the PS4/Xbox One, not the OS.

I know. it was just a crazy daydream I wanted to share.... you know, like those mecha animes when the MC's weaker robot evolves out of nowhere to save his life!

I truly believe that Wii U is a weaker console hardware wise, SOMEWHAT, but it's definitely not Xbox 360 or PS3 last generation "weak" like fools were saying.

Technologically, the Wii U can do plenty more than Nintendo has allowed it to do as of yet. That's fact.

Besides this "rant", does anyone know exactly what the difference would be on a PC from 2012, vs a PC from 2013? I'd say the only difference is only a year between an Xbox One and a Wii U.

EDIT: As for the OP, 30 ft. is how far it's supposed to reach.

I know. But it depends on the layout of your house too. Watch the video. on his old launch console he could only get 10 feet and it would almost reach his bathroom. With the Wind Waker Bundle he got 30 feet and it reached in his bathroom and both bedrooms.

I don't have a FaceBook, bro, and that link took me to Google land, straight back to this thread.EDIT: I typed it in URL(wasn't paying attention). I didn't even see anything, still.

I don't really know what to say. I got a Wii U on launch, and I know for a fact it can get further than 10 ft. This doesn't really confirm much of anything besides what this guy has experienced in his specific situation(which includes room/house setup, possible faults, etc.).

Unfortunately I can make it just about 2 steps away from the toilet in my apartment...

With my Wii U gamepad I only can get out of the room and it disconnects AND I still got sight to my console. There are no objects between the gamepad and the console. It's less than 8ft. I depends on everything.. Electromagnetic fields and other signals for example. I can say, it's normal on my side. My WLan Router signal barely can get through to the next room as well. So I can't expect full signal with my Wii U gamepad. lol^^

But 30ft? I don't believe it really.

I have a small apartment, it works everywhere except the kitchen. It goes through the wall to the bathroom and to the bedroom and to most of the living room.

My GamePad limits me to a section of the couch in the next room where it will work before the signal intermittently breaks. On the plus side, it works fine on the toilet!

I live in a trailer home, its small I dont know the exact dimensions but with with the WiiU (Zelda bundle no less) in the center, I cant make it to the kitchen at the end of the trailer or the toilet which is across the hall, but given that the signal has to go through a wall to get to either I am not surprised.
