I picked one of these up today because I've heard good things about it, and I thought it looks really good, but I'm finding myself having a hard time getting used to it.. did anyone else have this problem?
I really like the size of it.. it feels good in my hands, but the placement of the buttons and stick on the right side is what's getting me. I didn't think it would be a big deal since the gamepad itself has that same sort of thing, and I didn't think it would be that noticeable over something like say a playstation controller.. but it really does feel off to me.
I like it. I don't think the design is all that different from an XBOX controller, and I prefer it over the Game Cube controller when playing Smash Bros.
What game are you playing? If it is Smash (or some other fighting game), then I would recommend a different controller. The reason being is that the casing around the analogue sticks for the Pro controller are circular, while most others are octagonal, which makes it easier to know which direction you are pressing in. I would use the Pro controller for Smash if I did not constantly accidentally input side B instead of up B.
Not much to say here. I like Nintendo. That's about it.
I play my Wii U quite a lot, but I have no problem with the GamePad, so I haven't got a Pro Controller yet. Perhaps one day if there's a price cut, but in the meantime I use my GamePad for everything.
The only game I've used the Pro Controller for is Hyrule Warriors so far, and it did take me a while to get used to the layout of the controller. Once I got the layout down though, I really enjoyed the game a lot more. I'm always player two when player Hyrule Warriors, since I play it with my brother. Any controller beats having to wave around a Wii Remote repetitively to take out enemies... my arm got so tired after long play sessions! XD
I would just keep using it and you'll most likely eventually get used to the layout. Maybe use the controller for 3D World or Wind Waker first, and then try it with Mario Kart. The first two games are slower and would probably help you get used to the controller more. Hope this helps!
