I love Game Theory. There's no reason to get all upset over this, either.
It's just a fun way to discuss how/why certain video game mechanics would or wouldn't be practical in real life. No need to get all upset by a fun little video (and I personally enjoy the Morph Ball, FYI).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Forget about all of those sissy bombs, get a nuke!
Or better yet... a POWER NUKE!
...At which point you've defeated the purpose of the game: exploration.
Anyways, I don't think being able to chuck bombs or crawling would be very useful once you've been latched onto by a Metroid. Good luck getting a bomb in it now.
The power nuke thing was obviously a joke, but you actually have a point there about the Metroids latching on... any other game would require a teammate to get it off of you and that's just not metroid.
Edit: As a side note though, it would be interesting to play as the galactic federation. No morph ball means that they handle things differently than Samus does, and they would have to work in teams. Heck, I'm surprised there's no metroid mod for Left 4 Dead...
I actually want to know, how come she plants power bombs only in her morph ball? If she can use power bombs, standing up, it would make her capable of throwing them, instead of going to that said wall, or enemy and hoping it doesn't kill her in the process.

She does seem to be immune to damage from her own bombs for some reason... It would make things interesting if you had to get away from the power bomb before it went off though.
I think the morph ball bombs are really useful, not to mention the power bomb which can only be done in morph ball mode, is arguably the most powerful weapon in the series.
I'm not arguing that they come in handy, I'm just saying that the method of using them only being in morph ball form is kind of silly. I mean, what would you rather have? This:
Or this?:
That bottom picture looks like one of them Sony or Microsoft games that you are always rallying against.

Rallying against? Since when? If we're talking first parties yeah but Red Faction was made by Volition, a third party developer. Not to mention I played Guerrilla on the PC...
