With that, the Koroks, and the art style this really seems like the Wind Waker spiritual successor.
It seems to be set after the Wind Waker, so this would be after the decline of New Hyrule. This is the newest game in the series, it seems. Also, starchild Link much!?
I disliked how enclosed everything was in Skyward Sword. This seems to take the complete opposite approach. It really has the full open-ended nature the very first one on NES had. It's really just the kind of game you can enjoy without even following the story, just spending an afternoon blowing stuff up, bullying innocent goblins, collecting items, setting a bush on fire for no apparent reason. I already love it just watching it.
First Zelda game I've felt excited for in a long, long while. Heck, this is the first time a game has actually made me giddy inside in the last 2-3 years.
You can enter into an ending blow from the glider. So hype.
I do wonder if this demo isn't tuned down, though. I imagine there'll be a hero mode to make all of these survival health management techniques matter.
