@ the 9:30 minute mark. This chick is really of in the deep end here. I agree some games like GTA are sexist but give me a break. You can definitely make the argument that Peach constantly being in distress is misogynist but I don't see a problem with Wendy wearing a bow and heels.
EDIT - ok embedding the video didn't work.. here's the link:
Anyway, they include one bald lady, one kid wearing ranbow hair, a though guy with a pink motif and other wackier elements into their designs. not sure why do heels and bows matter in the bigger picture.
shivers
...On a side note, did anyone notice that the amount of likes and dislikes are nearly identical? I've never seen that on a video with so many views before.
Okay, absolute no.
GTA isn't sexist, since it's mostly up to the player what they do with who, with the game never explicitly telling you to kill any women.
Peach being a damsel in distress has nothing to do with her gender, but her status as the last of royalty in the Mushroom Kingdom. The only major changes that'd occur if Peach was a prince is that Bowser wouldn't wanna marry but adopt him, and Mario and Luigi wouldn't get kisses for the rescue (or maybe they would, but it'd be unlikely).
And Wendy wearing a bow and heels is, first and foremost, a design choice. The SNES didn't have enough power to properly display any other kind of feminine features, so they had to give her a bow. The heels are an addition that reinforces her femininity, since a bipedal mutant turtle simply doesn't look the part - it's an extra.
Really, these kinds of nitpicking rampages are just beyond idiotic. What does she hope to gain from that? A step closer to equality? Then she shouldn't yell misogyny at evereything, but instead accept that there are these stereotypical displays, and that "feminazis" aren't victims of this, but simply want to yell at something to get attention.
That's like complaining that Kratos is a shirtless muscle dude - it has nothing to do with gender promotion or supression or anything, it's just a stereotype that coincides with the general setting of war, violence, and roaring rampage of revenge.
But before I start writing what I normally would about this stuff, I'll end my comment here. Bad topic to wake up to...
I've honestly never heard of her until today. So I'm assuming by many of your responses, she's well known in the gaming community and has a bad reputation?
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

I sure hope that's the reason. This is also the first time I hear of them.
When talking about Toadette, she says she's the only female in the mushroom kingdom but that isn't true. In Mario RPG there were a lot of female Toads.
Sadly the good points in her videos will probably remain permanently confused with the bad because of the closed mindedness surrounding them on both sides of this lovely debate. Try criticising this particular point to any of the people who ardently support her and see what happens.

The toads don't even have gender, they're anthropomorphic fungi for crying out loud.
