No idea... Pretty early to be thinking about what the Wii U's downloadable service will be like. And I doubt Mario Superstars Baseball will be one considering that's just a US thing... (I believe?)

I know this is a stretch in terms of a vc launch lineup but I'd say, Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda: Wind Waker, and Metroid Prime. That covers the classics for me.

since pikmin 3 should come out around the time of the system I would have to guess the first two would be on VC, though I kind of hope they are the NPC versions, other than that Luigi's mansion maybe prime 1, same NPC I hope, then Melee would be a safe bet.

Wario World - (Haven't played this one yet)Luigi's MansionSuper Mario SunshineCaptain But Cheese & the escape to purple poop mountain.
Honestly, I don't care for the GCN VC that much at all....Why would i want to play GCN Titles such as Metroid Prime 1 & 2, along with Pikmin when the wii versions are incredibly superior control wise? Besides, half of the titles i enjoyed on the GCN were from Capcom, and the ones one from Nintendo while great here and there for the most part aren't worth revisiting imo, unless you've missed out on a few key gems.....The GCN, j ust isn't old enough to warrant any fuzzy nostalgia from me, nor is it considered retro.
That, and i can't exactly name over 15 titles that i'd want to even own, depending. The GCN and N64(especially) era were such dissapointments for me....while sprinkled with some ground breaking amazingness, in the N64's case. Besides, i already i own most of the titles i want from the GCN anyways. it's all about meee mee meee. Durp!

You're WAY better off getting Pikmin and the Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii...Using an analog stick to control the reticule in Pikmon feels compeltely unintuitive and crappy in comparison, plus the analog aiming controls for MP back on the GCN were a total drag.....At least they are for me compared to the wii pointer controls.

There are plenty of quality GCN games that never got the "New Play Control" treatment. If a GCN VC means we'll have digital access to rare-ish games like Beyond Good and Evil, Killer7, Ikaruga, and Eternal Darkness, then I'd say its a worthwhile service.
WAIT --- have GCN games as digital downloads been confirmed for Wii U, or is this speculation?

Correction: That's one that your region won't be getting, ever wonder how Japan has over 600 VC Titles and the West (NA & PAL) only have 300+? Certain regions may only get certain games, as not every VC game in the west released in every region in the west.

Ahhh Ikaruga...I've always wanted to play that one. Never cared for the 'style over gameplay' trip fest that was Killer 7 or even Eternal Darkness. StarWars Rogue leader II was another brilliant one, along with Luigi's Mansion and the like. But I already own most of these.
But Wario World, Ikaruga and Beyond Good & Evil(which i completely forgot about) shall be on my radar muhaha. And are those StarFox GCN titles even worth checking out?..

I loooooooove Killer 7
Star Fox Adventures is great, but its not what you'd expect from a Star Fox game. Its kind of an adventure game, even a little Zelda-ish. Star Fox Assault takes a stab at the classic on rails gameplay, but doesn't really capture the magic of the earlier games. Its worth a play if you're a fan, but as a full game I think it falls short of greatness.

I don't think Nintendo will launch the Wii U's VC with 5 Gamecube titles.
Maybe one or two of them: Luigi's Mansion HD and Wave Race: Blue Storm HD.Both will have "New Play Wii Control" of course, because Gamecube Controllers won't be compatible with Wii U.That's only IF Nintendo allows Gamecube downloads.
Old VC games should be updated. Button config should be allowed. 50Hz/60Hz needs to be implemented.
Hopefully the third party support from Western developers will be tied to Virtual Console games too.First flood of VC games by Electronic Arts, Activision, THQ, Ubisoft, etc.
New systems will be added.Gamecube, 64DD games, N64 and SNES games with more than 40MB, Satellaview games, SNES Super FX-Chip games, Super/Game Boy games, GBA gamesSega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Sega CD, Sega 32X gamesNeo Geo CD
Advanced arcade emulation (not only low-sized 80ies retro classics anymore)
Better WiiUWare games (data limit increased from 40MB to one that is similiar to the size of Gamecube games)
More exclusive translated retro titles from Japan.
All VC and WiiWare games transferable and playable on Wii U, free of charge.
I think you're expecting a little too much from this service. unless of course this is what you want and not what you think will happen.
