Topic: The chances of one more Wii U reveal

After Paper Mario Color Splash, and the wait for the new Zelda to come to Wii U.
The release calendar is looking very sparse for Wii U.

What do you think the chances are of one last reveal ?
One last reveal of a new game to fill the gap until Zelda.

Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this.

@Tsurii I'm half expecting a remastered Wii game or something.

If say there was one last game in works, which is a very big if, I hoping F-Zero.
But that's wishful thinking.

There's only 2 things I dare to hold out any hope for: Mario Kart 8 DLC, and Project GIANT ROBOT.

Preferably they'll be some sort of PGR in Mario Kart dlc...

I think nothing with a very small chance of Project Giant Robot as Project Guard was released this year as Star Fox Guard.

Hahaha no way it will be fzero. I think we will see project giant robot but not much else. I imagine they will finally ramp up the virtual console and they have a system in place for the whole vc to move over to the nx so they don't have to start from scratch like they did with the wiiu and I do think the wiiu may get small nx digital only releases later on. Like Mario vs dk or something like that.

I really did think they'd have one last physical game out for Xmas... either Luigi's Mansion or Sunshine, with a new HD coat of paint. Now I'm thinking the new Paper Mario is it for the year.

Chances are -273 Celsius, which means absolute zero. I mean, I'd love some F-Zero or something else to fill the Wii U last months, but Nintendo has killed it. Then they dug a deep grave. Then they filled it with layers of concrete and our crushed hopes and dreams. You get the picture. Their management of the last two years of Wii U has been abysmal.

I'm with everyone else on this; chances of a new game reveal are near zero. Other than Project Giant Robot or maybe a small new reveal of sorts, I don't see the system getting anything besides what we already know about.

Personally, I'm most looking forward to Breath of the Wild and (if it's decent on the hardware) the Darksiders port. I may also pick up Color Splash at some point.

Beyond maybe Project Giant Robot, I don't think we'll see anything else. Wii U is done. Just Paper Mario Color Splash and Zelda BotW. Beyond that is just indie and VC releases.

@Samurai_Goroh Abysmal yes, but if they focus too much on a sales-failure, what do they really gain from it? They should rightly focus on the NX's success.

I'd love to say yes, and maybe we'll get like...Pikmin 4 for both or something. But...I dunno.

Looking at the holiday season, we have the NES Classic Edition and everything's gonna be focused on Pokemon Sun/Moon considering the incredible momentum Pokemon has right now.

@Tyranexx I keep forgetting about that Darksiders remaster.
Never played it the first time round, so I think I'll preorder it.

I recently heard a rumor that Nintendo is taking a "final call" for orders on the Wii U from retailers. If this is or is not the case, I still think the Wii U has seen its last AAA first party release. At this point it really wouldn't make sense to release any more games for it. The install base is so ridiculously low.

@TheLZdragon Lol! Except they aren't even doing that. I'm half expecting Nintendo to pull a Saturn and release the console without even letting developers know the release date until after the thing releases.

@HawkeyeWii Except good Wii U games still sell ridiculously well. Most multiplats on the console only sell about 20-25% less units on the Wii U version of the games despite there being ¼ or less install base when compared to most other current and last-gen consoles.

The chances are as likely as winning the lottery so yeah pretty slim :/

I feel like they are going to have at least one more reveal to say that they have a holiday game.

Maybe a 3DS port, like Fire Emblem Awakening or Codename Steam?

(Turn-about is fair play - the 3DS crowd is getting Mario Maker and Yoshi's Woolly World, so...)
