Well, Nintendo has emphasized quite a few times right now that they are working on a Zelda title and this demo may not reflect what that title looks like.
Nintendo has seemed to insist upon doing exactly what we don't expect or even consider. Watch them release a Wind Waker styled Celda adventure, completely ignoring the HD beauty they could've done. (No, I doubt they'd go that route again, but I won't be surprised if they do something pretty unexpected.
WindWaker would look gorgeous in HD. Even Skyward Sword art. Realistic HD graphics are boring, ninty does better stuff with Zelda >:[
Whoa, calm down dude. I do love Wind Waker, and Skyward Sword was my favorite Zelda game yet (both gameplay and art). I was saying they have a tendency to do what the public doesn't expect and it does create controversy. I never said I thought it was bad, I simply said they'll probably do something we don't expect with the series. I wouldn't be a Zelda fanboy if I thought that was bad.

It was just a demo. That is not the new Zelda game. It was just showing off the graphical capabilities of the Wii U, just like that spaceworld video 12 years ago.
