@Dezzy: I'm sure someone's already mentioned this, but the 3DS had already been out for a bit before we got Pokemon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2...those were DS games.
Also, just look at how long the PS3 and 360 were held on to after the PS4 and One launched.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.

I didn't actually know that! Thanks, that is interesting. I only got on the 3DS bandwagon after they'd released the Mario games

I'm pretty sure Black & White 2 were released after Super Mario 3D Land and New Super Mario Bros 2.
It's been confirmed that Straight Right aka Tantalus is working on Zombi for the other platforms.
So... The question still remains what Tantalus is bringing to Wii U. I still think it's Square Enix related. Any other guesses? Remember... It's their biggest project which means bigger than Mass Effect 3 and not Mature.

Maybe they're bringing the Kingdom Hearts collections (what were those called? 1.5 and 2.5 something) in one package to Wii U before they drop the KH3 announcement for NX shrugs
