Obviously there are many Smash Bros. threads on here already, but all most of them talk about is the character roster. This one is about stages, plus items and extras if ones wants to talk about them too. Anyway, here are my thoughts on what would be nice to see.

Pac-Man themed stage. Name ?: Functions similar to the Mario Bros. stage, with the characters being able to jump on the lines on a vertical plane. Also, unlike the formerly mentioned stage, you can go across the shortcut area to get to the other side of the stage. Plus every now and then one of the ghosts will come out of the box and travel around the place, but you can eat the big pellets to eat them and get items instead of normally taking damage.

Kid Icarus themed stage. Viridi's Reset Bomb Forest: This would be a hazardous place, with a grassy floor, high and low tree branches to serve as platforms, and bottomless pits on either side of the stage. Periodically Viridi (assuming she isn't going to be a playable character or Assist Trophy) will appear in her hologram form in the background. She'll scorn the players, then cause spiky vines that do damage to those that touch them to grow over a certain area which changes every time she appears. After laughing, Viridi leaves; with the vines dieing back.

Mario Kart themed stage. Rainbow Road: Not really sure how to picture this one, maybe it could be a forward facing stage, with Mario characters driving under it sometimes. Think like the Mario Circuit stage and the Port Town Aero Dive stage melded into one.

A MGS3 stage, set in some random russian jungle. With beeeeeeeees. When you play as Young Ocelot in the stage, you can use his MEOOOOOW taunt to call your self-esteem team! Who then proceed to shoot everyone. And then you win, jumping into Naked Snake's arms and riding off into the sunset.

I don't feel like thinking up stage ideas right now, but there should be stages based on the following games:
1. Super Mario Galaxy
2. Donkey Kong Country Returns
3. Kid Icarus Uprising
4. Game & Wario
5. Kirby's Epic Yarn or Kirby's Return to Dreamland or both
6. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
7. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

A Mario Galaxy stage could be amazing. Imagine if it focuses on all the gravity with tiny planets and black holes. Imagine how awesome a smash bros. stage that could be if done right. Like you'd have to know how gravity effects every bit of jumping or sending targets into the air and constantly switching between the sides of tiny planets and you play most of the time being anything except right-side-up.

@kkslider: That would change the game a lot for a single stage. I'd like a Mario Galaxy themed stage but with the gravity effects and everything I'm not so sure.

A stage editor stage. Imagine the blocks and slopes flying everywhere.

Bayonetta 2 stage or wonderful 101 stage

Ever since I heard the epic Brawl version of the Tetris theme, I knew there had to be a stage based off of it. You could just play on the bottom of a tetris board and try not to get crushed by tetris pieces. I guess the only way to kill your opponents would be to up smash, but it would be an interesting stage nonetheless! But eventually the tetris pieces would build up until you reach the top so you can hit your opponents off the stage to the side.

Yeah I made a Tetris stage in brawl, but blocks don't move

In the tetris stage, you could hit the falling blocks to rotate them or move them.

i think for the mario galaxy stage it be something like you battle in one planet then after a while you have to jump to the other planet and such

I don't think anyone has. But you can talk about such stuff here if you'd like.

I think the Tanooki suit or raccoon suit should be an item, mini mushroom should be an item and poison mushroom would damage you instead, and maybe a 1-up mushroom could work as long as they lock the idea of a 1-up only battle.

Metroid: Other M: (Note: spoilers) A stage set in the same area where you battled Phantoon and have him set in the bakround, attacking you.

Paper Mario stage. Why haven't we had one yet?
