Super Smash Bros. Clash has a nice ring to it. I'll take Smash U though.

i thought of it when i was thinking about the massive debate between brawl and melee, about how melee is faster, more hardcore, while brawl is floatier and easier to learn, and i figured, why not have 2 game modes, one faster with heavier gravity, one slower with floatier physics
you then have standard mode, and a faster 'blitz' mode, much like some modern fps have normal and pro/hardcore servers etc.
id like both modes to be balanced, not a 'broken' mode and a proper mode, but 2 equally balanced but different game speeds
itll probably never happen though

as for story mode, i like subspace emissary, but there were not enough regular fights thrown into it alongside the alternate gameplay, if every time the screen locked and you had to beat 20 foes or so to continue they had instead made it a regular fight against a NPC, then the whole thing would have been much better

On Wikipedia, they comfirmed versions for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.I Like to have more characters like Shadow and others.They also confirmed a character creator in the game so that you can upload it to the Wii U version.

Anyway, what kind of stages would you guys want to see? I thought of one where you're in the Temple of the Ocean King from Phantom Hourglass. The gimmick would be during certain times in the match, the phantom knights would come out and possibly OHKO if you're not standing on those glowy surfaces.

Phantom Hourglass is already too old to have it's own stage I think, although I love your idea. I think if anything, Nintendo would make some kind of Spirit Tracks stage, considering that's the newest game featuring Toon Link.

This game will be considerably less enjoyable without local multiplayer......

I want a galaxy stage where you can run around on planetoids. Not going to happen, as they'd have to do a major physics overhaul for one stage, but it'd be neat.

I'd like more Animal Crossing-like stages and fewer Warioware-like stages. I don't like being KOed by the stage. Even the Fire Emblem stage I don't like too much because the ground can form over you if you don't know exactly when the stage change is, but they could fix that easily by giving warning five seconds ahead of time. Not sure if there is a warning in Brawl, but if there is, it's not as long as I'd like.

I'd like fewer stages where the ground extends to the edge of the screen, too. The first five hundred times I stood at the edge of Green Hill Zone, grabbed someone, and KOed them with 0% were hilarious, but the next one bajillion times were less so.

I thought it was pretty widely known that the next Smash Bros. game would be called Super Smash Bros. Kerfuffle.

Seems like production of this game is going to start October 2011. At least, if you apply to work for Project Sora, you are expected to start October of this year (negotiable is tagged next to the date). This is really exciting.

If only:

I knew Japanese.
Had experience in making video games or even in the industry
Had relations under Nintendo

Then I'd be part of making the seemingly ultimate Smash Bros game. Bummer...

One thing to note: Production of Brawl started in October 2005- kinda, in that the office was formed and I think Sakurai was the only one in the team at the time but progressively the team got a little bigger but it was still small. Now that the team behind Kid Icarus Uprising is moving over to Smash Bros. 4 and that loads of job postings are up, then they may get this game done by early 2013 if it goes smoothly. Sakurai is going to need a big team and people to work with to get both games up. Thankfully, they'll be importing the basic assets of Brawl to start- whatever that means. If they simply import the characters and work their way up, then that's a great start.
