1) If they're going to make a deal with Square Enix to get ANYONE into Smash, the pecking order should be similar to this: Super Mario RPG > Dragon Quest (no generic monsters) > Kingdom Hearts = classic FF > Chrono series > Mana series
The reason for this is that Super Mario RPG is actually tied to some of Nintendo's existing IP. Obscure or not, it's easily the first thing anyone should consider. Beyond that, Dragon Quest didn't ditch the series, and like it or not, Sora is easily as notable and interesting as any classic FF character you could throw at me (except possibly Kefka). He's also more modern and yes, handheld spin-offs do count, in this case, as they're actually very important to the story line. (However, he's obviously not more fit than some other characters, and I won't bother making a character suggesting from Super Mario RPG, because I haven't played it, before.)
2) Geoff Keighly is a Video Game Journalist. He's known as the Dewritos Pope because when he did a review of Halo 4, which was being sponsored by Mountain Dew and Doritos in a pre-game promotion, he was surrounded by mountains of Dew and Doritos. This led people to suspect he'd been paid off, and honestly, given the state of gaming journalism, today, that wouldn't surprise anyone.
As for why he's an odd choice, he and Reggie have something of a rivalry going on, and he's made it abundantly clear that he's not a fan of Nintendo. However, I suppose Nintendo is aware that Game Trailers can bring in a lot of potential buyers that clearly don't already own Wii U's, so that should work out just fine.
3) Not from the last five pages, I'd like to revisit what I said about a YouTube commentator. I don't know why I didn't say this before, but really, putting a celebrity commentator that most "real gamers" apparently hate in charge of talking about a show only "real gamers" really care about would obviously be a bad idea. What I SHOULD have been arguing was that they really need to get some YouTube gamer support. The YouTube Network idea is cool, I guess, but Let's Players are still sore that they aren't getting all of the money from something that's only about half theirs, in the first place. They should make some deals with certain YouTubers to just straight up ignore any copyright material on their channels.
