Ah, I see. My bad. Anyway, I'm pretty neutral in the question as to whether or not they should include Ness/Lucas. I've never been too found at playing as them.

I wonder if Little Mac isn't the only one with an alternate skin.

I want your Mii to be a playable character!! That'd be awesome, and now that you can customize the movesets in some way, it'd be even more awesome; you could really personalize it.

I hope mario gets an NES skin. Basically the same except with 8-bit graphics (his final smash is 8 bit too!)

I really hope Mega Man gets a skin! Like X, Zero or Proto man would be awesome.

Well E3 isn't far away until we know for sure, but I just wanted to let you know.

Retailers never get a correct release date unless Nintendo announces it.

I want to believe! X would be awesome, though if Zero were added I would want him to be his own character to do him justice (gotta have the z-saber).

I usually go by with what Gamestop says with release dates (unless Nintendo themselves say it, lol), and since they still have the 3DS version listed for Dec. 31st, I'm pretty sure that means none of the retailers know the date.

Actually, fake or not, this release date is very plausible.
This is actually pretty typical for Nintendo. For example, they announced Mario Kart 8 for "Spring". Now we know that we get it on the 30th May. Almost the end of spring - 3 weeks away from summer (and a Friday as usual). Now looking at the rumoured date for SSB4 - 3DS, it is as Mario Kart 8 the end of Summer. And it is 3 weeks away from fall. (and a Friday as well).

So if we follow the pattern, I'd say we will see SSB4 for Wii U on the 28th November!
(End of fall. 3 Weeks away from Winter and a Friday - Yes, they said "Winter 2014", but I think they meant "Holiday Season" and that's November )

Yea.. I know, that's far-fetched.. But you never know! ^^

Nah, that's definitely just a safe date. The day they consider to be the last likely date for the game to come out.

I thought I made clear with the last 2 sentences that this isn't a serous take on.
This was actually just a friendly joke, or irony if you like to call it that way. ^^
I guess it's just my humour. Away to get some certainty behind the mystery "release date", for us impatient people like me. Especially if it's Smash Bros that we are waiting for so long. xP

Probably a placeholder, but a good guess for when it gets released. I would expect towards the end of August or maybe beginning of September. Almost certainly not June.

Maybe not every character but a VAST MAJORITY of the characters will definitely have alternate skins.
