Didn't want to outright hint at the Ice Climbers too soon, I guess.
“A thing may be too sad to be believed or too wicked to be believed or too good to be believed; but it cannot be too absurd to be believed in this planet of frogs and elephants, of crocodiles and cuttle-fish.”
― G.K. Chesterton
I know this is pretty minor but check out the two arrow pointers in those pics. The small grey one points at the Bullet Bill item. Smash 64 did this so the items were easier to locate I guess, but Melee and Brawl did not do this. Interesting how that small feature is returning.
I must be remembering incorrectly but I thought Melee had the arrows, too?

I don't think it did. Considering that more items could appear on screen, too many arrows would be distracting and annoying to look at.

Yeah @DreamyViridi is right. I think I just got that mixed up with SSB64.
I'm wondering why they're bring back the item arrow / pointer back...
Sure, it makes sense for the 3DS since it's hard to see certain things, but for the Wii U?
I just don't get it.

@Rosalina - Yeah, maybe it's another thing we can toggle on/off and it's in both games for continuity's sake.
I question what the red pointer in the second pic means.
What if Nintendo used the NFP figurines to add characters to Smash, later? Say Sakurai left the code open so he could patch in new characters. He then asks Nintendo to add the code to unlock said characters in Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS.
Why stop there? There are already 29 confirmed characters and probably 10-15 unannounced ones. Why not have the NFP figurines also transfer extra costumes?!
Heck, we can even forget using them for DLC and just use it to give characters costumes (and for uses in other games, of course.)
Not really all that excited for Wireframe Mac, but then again I never played the Arcade Punch Out. The option is nice for those that want it, and having more costumes that aren't just re-colors is always a plus. As of now, I prefer flesh and bone Mac, but I'll surely end up using this costume once in a while.

No Ness on Mother's day? I figured. I'm waiting until Father's day to see if Sakurai shows him.
Have in mind that Mother's Day doesn't occur in the same week across the globe. In Sweden, for instance, it isn't until next Sunday. Maybe it's the same with Japan?
