Topic: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - OT

@Romeo I consider Rosalina a good threat because there is literally video of her and Luma fighting multiple characters at the same time on their own....

that doesn't mean anything, that was just a trailer with a few gameplay scenes

• when they reveal a new character... of course they're gonna show her off in ways that makes people think "cool"
  or do you think they'd reveal Rosalina and then let her die 10times in a row in a 2minute gameplay video?
• even if it was an actual match (which it wasn't), that wouldn't mean anything
  when you balance a game (for example sc2, LoL, etc.) you have to balance it for the top 200 players (just an example)

even if casual players lose 65% of the time against Rosalina, that doesn't mean anything... she could still be a bad character that is completely useless in pro-play/any serious tournaments

look at Darius (league of legends champion) for example... he absolutely stomps noobs in league of legends.. and they all cry "Darius is overpowered, nerf", but overall he's simply not that great... there are far better champions which can fulfill his role + simply do tons of other stuff

when you balance a game.. you have to look at the characters potential and what the very best will be able to do with said characters
just because a character is easy to play and people have a 65% winrate with it against noobs.. doesn't mean that character is strong/good

• as i've pointed out before... a scripted gameplay video of Rosalina fighting 2 people at the same time doesn't mean anything... it could have been a video of Rosalina simply jumping around and the information would've been the same (=Rosalina is in the game, but we have no clue whether she's strong/useful or not)

In all seriousness, I don't think so. Mario looking up is part of his idle animation when he 'fixes' his hat. It'd be a nice touch if fighters did look at others based on height though.

anyone else really dislike peaches design in this game? It just doesn't really fit the simplicity of the rest of the roster. And just looks almost exactly like the one from brawl but not so dark. It doesn't at all look like her in any of the recent games, or any game for that matter.

@BandG - Not really. Peach always looked a bit different compared to the Mario games in the Smash Bros. series since Melee.

I'll give you a handicap to make it fair.

A lot of people are mad about Rosalina getting a spot but I can only imagine the amount of rage that would fill the forums if Dr. Mario was announced! :3
