I don't even wanna know what he means by "Smash idiots..."
He's been bombarded with Wonder Red/Bayonetta Smash requests for years (even if it isn't really his call). Tbh I'd get pretty cheesed off too eventually. The Smash fanbase can be super rabid.
Campaigning for a character was the WORST decision of my life. Back then, I didn't care who got in. But in August, I started growing an attachment to K. Rool. I thought he was the most requested Nintendo character (he still probably is), so I thought he was going to at least get in through the ballot. But nope. We get a third-party character. No Nintendo newcomers as DLC.

**** me for wanting one to have one of my favorite Nintendo characters as DLC. I'm never doing this again. BUT HEY! We have a Mii costume! That's totally like the actual thing! /s. Whatever, I'll take it.
Also, there are more Fire Emblem characters than there are Zelda characters. Fire Emblem got 3 newcomers, and Zelda got none. The franchise balancing in this game is a complete joke.

In this game yes fire emblem is the second most represented. I don't even know why Wolf got cut, there wasn't a reason to cut him. All other characters there were plausible reasons but not for Wolf. I'm actually pretty sad wolf didn't make it back in... Knowing there will be no more dlc.
Because 3 similar playing characters from the same IP is overkill?

So trying to dodge all the salt as best I can I'll just ask a question to anyone like me in the UK, do you think it's worth staying up for Cloud's release? It's nearly midnight and they said 'in a few hours' about an hour or so ago, if it's 1:30 or earlier I don't mind but I won't be able to stay up any later than that. Any indication of how long it will be at all?
@NoirUsernameHere: To be fair, it would have been pretty interesting to see how Sakurai would have handled the Inklings had he included them in Smash. Very, veeeery interesting.
Also, before I forget. Did anybody hear the Forest Maze song with Geno's costume?! Yeessssss! Another masterpiece of an earworm is in Smash! XD

It's too bad that Inklings didn't make it, or even a stage, but they will definitely be in Smash Bros. for NX without a shadow of a doubt.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were the first newcomers announced. Splatoon has been a massive hit for Nintendo and is likely to become a big franchise.

To be fair, the last two characters and the remaining Mii Fighter costumes are coming in February. Perhaps we'll see a stage or two revealed via general Nintendo Direct then? I doubt it, but it might be possible. I wouldn't expect it though.
@DarthNocturnal: Wells that's the song that was played while Geno was shown. So I'm safely assuming the song will be in Smash along with the costumes... @Joshua179 Oh good Lord... 😮
