He, along with other two similar characters, guides you through the start of the Wii game. And then appears in the credits as the playable character.

He's not really relevant to the series a whole, just the wii game.

I think both Karate Joe and the Samurai are a bit more relevant. They've been on all the games so far.

Wasn't there evidence of a Rhythm Heaven character having been planned but scrapped in the vanilla game's code? Thought I remember that being the case. I imagine Rhythm Heaven was next in line to receive a rep, though is obviously now second in line thanks to Splatoon.

Actually, that same leak revealed most of the new characters too.

It was probably real, just outdated (as in, the chorus kids were planed, but not finished).

A bug has been discovered in 1.11 regarding the new shield mechanics. Apparently if Diddy's shield gets hit with a multihit move and Diddy is able to drop his shield during the multihit, a glitch occurs making to where Diddy Kong can't be grabbed.

Emergency patch is in order.

Edit: This bug also makes it to where Diddy can't be inhaled by Kirby - he just passes right through him.

It wasn't. It came from a different source so it's likely a fake that just happened to turn up around the same time the real leak did.

The loading screen when I start of the game takes a lot longer now, and the circle that goes around the smash ball to show you it's loading doesn't start off smoothly anymore. It's very delayed for a few seconds and then it starts moving smooth. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I dunno about the 3DS version, though...but yeah....very long loading for Smash Wii U. For a moment I thought the system froze up.

For me it only seems to do that after I buy DLC or the game updates. It seems to take longer to load when something is being unlocked. Otherwise it's just fine.

Hmm... does this all mean anything? I'm not sure, but I hope it does.

So we're getting at least 3 more characters. Note that it only went up by one, as there were 2 before the patch. Those 2 placeholders have been there since the Mewtwo patch.

I should also point out that 3 is not necessarily the hard cut-off, as they can add more as they go.
