Just played a few local matches against Mewtwo and some others in four-player. Link definitely appears to have a clear advantage while Ganondorf and Ike appear to have a more balanced match-up. Having high launch and being heavy really puts Mewtwo in a hurt for defenses, and with projectiles added into the mix, he really seems to struggle, but I didn't have a lengthy play session, so it may have just been how weak the players were.
Just a heads up for everyone, it appears that there is a glitch if you use Mewtwo in Multi-man smash that causes a message to appear afterwards when trying to get online that says you are disconnected due to irregular save data. I can't get online now it seems... I did a 10-man smash and when I looked at the Total High Score it shows my time, but the GSP is at 0.
I'm guessing it has to do with Mewtwo not being accounted for in GSP yet or something so I wouldn't recommend doing other things that also have GSP like Home Run Contest and Target Blast.
Edit: I'm not completely sure, but it appears to be a problem with completing the 10-Man Smash with all characters including Mewtwo which could mean that it may be fine in this and other game modes as long as you haven't used all characters in them.
I can confirm this glitch. It seems 10-Man Smash and probably 100-Man Smash are the culprit as they subtract from your total score/time and Nintendo didn't account for this in their anti-cheat system. You won't have a total score/time if you haven't used all characters previously, thus avoiding the glitch. All other modes using GSP seem perfectly safe and do not get zeroed out when using Mewtwo and connecting online. I haven't seen anyone mention the 3DS version so it might be safe for some reason, but I'm certainly not testing since that's the only way I can play online at the moment.
I still haven't got my Mewtwo code. Hurry it up Sakurai.

the forward B move can reflect some projectiles. I haven't tested it much but it worked on Mewtwo's neutral B and Yoshi's Up B.
