I really wish online had better netcoding... It seems like lag is unavoidable, and I've even read things from people who use a direct wire USB internet port into the Wii U say they experience lag and input delay..
Really? I get no lag 90% of the time. And no, I don't have a USB internet port plugged in my Wii U, as I don't have one.
Smash Mains:
N64: Captain Falcon
Melee: Mario
Brawl: Sonic
Project M: Link
Smash 3DS: Captain Falcon
Smash Wii U: Ganondorf
Honestly, there is almost no lag at all in my games. Input or slow-mo type. But then again, it's been ages since I haven't played online so it's possible my play style has just adjusted to the lag, making it unnoticeable to me
It sucks that I own both the 3DS and Wii U version of SSB4 but I didn't make a Club Nintendo account in time. I tried but the site kept crashing on me.
black screen Smash logo appears in the form of two slices on the screen and burns away, revealing a mostly dark sky with a space station floating out of sight and a decent number of stars
SUDDENLY! Lasers start flying! Area 6 begins to play! Ships are converging in battle and among them can be seen the Great Fox, two Arwings and Samus's ship. There's a short dog fight, but Samus, Fox, and Falco jump from their ships, landing on the Lylat Cruise stage. Samus takes Falco out with a fully-charged charge beam leading to a close-quarters fight with Fox. Through as series of quick movements, Fox manages to knock Samus back and as electricity flows through her armor, showing she can't move, he dusts himself off and untenses... ONLY TO BE SHOT IN THE BACK BY A BLASTER! He turns around and a look of shock crosses his face...
"What's the matter? Scared?"
WOLF! CLAWS HIS WAY IN!
Star Wolf begins to play as a series of clips show that Wolf is mostly unchanged from his Brawl self. Roll credits.

You have a wild imagination friendo.I respect that
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

I find your lack of a "Can't let you do that, Star Fox!" joke disturbing
Wow, I just played on my 3DS for the first time in about two months and I don't see any reason to go back to the Wii U version of this for playing 1vs1 matches online. There is no input lag or delay at all when you have a good connection. It honestly feels just like playing locally and I'm amazing at how many things I'm capable of doing that I could never, ever do in the Wii U version due to the bad lag and delay.
Maybe it's because the 3DS controller is built into the screen. I don't know but I don't really see a reason to go back to the Wii U version because the connection is always going to be awful or sub par, no matter how good of an internet connection you have.
