@TheGreatBrawler That's a wonderful gif, and I think it shows off what I've been saying about Ganondorf very well. He's a punishment character. His job is to survive until you do something dumb, then he's gonna make you hurt for it. Notice how Pikachu dishes out a barrage of pain and has a clear lead. It only takes one mistake for Ganondorf to turn that into his lead AND victory.

Melee, PM, and 4 will all be there but 4 has the most entrants. I've been getting into competitive smash and practice with friends some times. I keep up with the community. While I'm not bad with Mega Man, I don't think I'm that good either. I'd hate to go and just get bodied first round lol.
Absolutely go for it. Even if you get rekt, you'll still have fun, I'm sure. Though maybe that'll depend on the entry fee. $5 is worth it in any case, $50, I might suggest holding back if you're not so sure of yourself.
