I think we're kinda sounding mean. I get it CapeSmash, you're pissed, not happy, jelly maybe. But overall (Not just we know, because I started saying Diddy 2OP for sh*tz and giggs a while back) we don't really care. You can't change it. You have to deal with it.
Do you go to tourney's or play online often and get manhandled by Diddy by this tactic? Then I understand it's frustrating, but you have to keep playing the way you do but better to get around this. Play the game better than them. You can't stop competitive Melee players from using Wavedashing. Just gotta go with the flow.

More or less. It's like how up until this point, I've viewed ledge hogging as a cheap way to secure a kill and overall poor sportsmanship, however, it's a legitimate tactic and I understand people using it because they want to win. All you can do at that point is find a way around it, such as having a good enough recovery or a delayed start-up or just not winding up in this situation, in the first place.
I don't hate competitive Smash 4, it's just I'm not happy with how it's being played at the moment. I'm sick of going to Smash 4 tourney videos, only for it to be the same boring mess over, over, and over again. Diddy Kong, down throw to up air x1000, spamming rolls like crazy, and stuff like that isn't fun to watch. Most of the time, no one is even attacking each other. It's just rolling like crazy, throw out a projectile, and then do the same grab combo over and over. This makes me really upset, because I had high hopes for Smash 4 as a competitive game. Also, does anyone else think the matches would be less defensive if it was 3 stocks instead of 2?

I agree. Also, look at the first Brawl tier list. It's RADICALLY different compared to the latest one. Some of the characters who were top tier/high tier are now mid tier and even low tier.
While I think it is silly for "Pro" players to be playing Diddy cause they feel they can get wins easier, that would be like basketball players putting flubber on their shoes cause they can dunk easier, it doesn't mean that is how the game will be played from now on. Just keep practicing and keep looking for ways you can improve against Diddy Kong.

All four console Smash games are there though. Who knows, maybe we'll see Mewtwo footage there (I doubt it).
